Chapter 683 Rage
In the blink of an eye, Erend was already upon the cloaked figure and immeidately raising his fiery claw to swing at him with devastating speed. The figure barely managed to raise his armored arm to block, the reinforced metal glinting momentarily before the fiery impact landed.
CRACK!
Erend's claws tore into the armor, flames licking hungrily at the surface. The cloaked figure's eyes widened behind his mask as an alarm blared in his head, the chip embedded in his skull alerting him to critical damage.
The heat from Erend's flames burned through the armor, melting it at the edges.
"Impossible," he whispered, his voice a mix of disbelief and panic.
Desperately, the cloaked figure extended his other arm, leveling it at Erend's chest. A pulse of energy surged down the length of his limb as he fired an energy shot.
BANG!
The blast struck Erend square in the chest, but instead of sending him flying as it had before, it barely caused him to flinch.
The force of the shot fizzled against his hardened scales, leaving nothing more than a scorched mark on his chest.
Erend looked down at the faint mark and then back up at the figure, his grin widening. His face that now fully covered in black and red scales radiated unbelievable menace. The heat around him intensified, the air shimmering as flames danced along his body.
"Now you know that I haven't even go all out," Erend said woth calm voice that also dripping with lethal intent.
The cloaked figure staggered back, his confidence unraveling as Erend opened his mouth.
WHOOSH!
A torrent of fire erupted from Erend's mouth, engulfing the figure's face. The intense heat scorched his black mask leaving it glowing with heat as it warped slightly under the strain.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
The figure raised his arms to shield himself, but it was futile.
Before he could react further, Erend's fist came crashing down.
BOOM!
The punch landed with a force that shook the ground, sending the cloaked figure flying downward like a meteor.
He slammed into the ground with a deafening thud, the earth cracking beneath him from the impact.
Erend hovered above, his wings flaring as he looked down at his fallen opponent. But even after such a punishing blow, the cloaked figure still able to move.
His head tilted up, revealing a face now fully encased in black metal armor. The mask had fused with his suit, forming another layer of protection. Though scorched and dented from the fire, the armor remained intact.
Erend's grin didn't falter. If anything, it grew wider.
"That piece of metal you're wearing were tougher than I thought," he said, descending slowly, his flames swirling around him. "That means this fight wouldn't be over yet."
The cloaked figure clenched his fists. He speak, his voice that now filtered through the metallic casing echoed coldly.
"You haven't seen the full extent of my power as well, beast," he growled, struggling to rise to his feet. "You'll regret pushing me this far."
Erend snorted, his flames flaring once more. "Talk all you want. Let's see if you can back it up."
The two warriors locked eyes again, then charged at each other. The battlefield trembling from their clash.

The cloaked figure unleashed a load surge of energy from his metal nano-suit, the circuits along his body glowing an intense crimson as the suit augmented his strength and speed to inhuman levels.
Erend felt the difference immediately. Each punch from the figure carried a weight and force that almost rivaled his own power at this level. It wasn't just brute strength, the figure's attacks landing with a calculated efficiency.
For every blow Erend delivered, the cloaked figure responded in the same manner, their strikes creating shockwaves.
The battlefield was ablaze with streaks of red energy and flashes of orange fire. They locked in a blinding exchange of punches and kicks.
Erend's grin widened as he felt the rising strength of his opponent. But amidst the thrill of combat something stirred within him. A surge of rage began to course through his veins that made his blood boil and his vision narrow.
It was a primal urge to destroy and tear his opponent apart without mercy.
The Black Rage.
Unbeknownst to Erend, it was awakening again, creeping through his consciousness like a shadow. But in his mind, he only feel the desire to punish this arrogant opponent.
He didn't see it for what it truly was. He only felt the exhilaration of battle.
"Not bad, kid," Erend growled as he dodged a punch and retaliated with a fiery uppercut that sent the figure skidding backward. "But you're still playing with toys."
The cloaked figure didn't respond with words. Instead, he planted his feet, the ground beneath him cracking as the energy in his suit surged even higher.
He then launched himself at Erend with blinding speed, landing a powerful strike to Erend's ribs.
Erend barely flinched. He roared, flames erupting from his body in a wave that pushed the cloaked figure back momentarily. His fists ignited and he charged forward again.
For a few seconds, their battle became a blur of red and orange. Fists and kicks flew faster than the eye could follow, each strike accompanied by bursts of energy and fire.
The anger within him growing, feeding off the intensity of the fight.
His strikes became heavier and more feral, and his movements less precise. It was as though his instincts had taken over.
The cloaked figure, despite his enhanced strength, began to sense the change in Erend's demeanor. His attacks were no longer just powerful, they were relentless.
Erend roared, his flames surging higher. His eyes glowed with an intensity that sent a shiver down the cloaked figure's spine, and the Black Rage clawed closer to the surface.
Eccar who stood atop the tower looking on the battlefield below. But it wasn't the destruction that held Eccar's attention.
Eccar could feel it, like a storm brewing just beneath the surface.
"This is bad," Eccar muttered.
Beside him, Saeldir glanced sharply at Eccar. But before Saeldir could say another word, Eccar leaped from the tower, his wings snapping open to catch the air.
The wind rushed past him as he descended rapidly toward the chaos below.
