Chapter 170: Chapter 166: A Rather Boring Dungeon
Chapter 170: Chapter 166: A Rather Boring Dungeon
[3rd POV]
After parting ways with Kara and the rest of them, Talia teleported off to a discreet location, ready to see what this dungeon of hers could offer, and hope that the rewards were actually somewhat decent.
Entering the dungeon, Talia blinked as she looked around 'This...is definitely not what I was expecting'
[To account for the users drastic uptake in power since the last dungeon, the users dungeon shall be changed. A new function to the dungeon has been applied, and will now allow the user to gain "Otherworld Dungeons" that will be based around a certain fictional universe, granting rewards belonging to that one, and having characters and species from that universe as your foes]
[Otherworld Dungeon - DXD]
[Details - A dungeon based around the DXD universe, with characters from that universe being your main and primary foes. These characters range from being able to destroy buildings, to (at their peak) being able to destroy entire worlds with ease, and solar systems when going all out. As you'd assume, the peak of this dungeon is stronger than their canon selves]

'That is...interesting...very interesting' Talia thought, surprised with the new function to the system. Having the ability to kill and defeat characters from DXD and other fictional universes, without having to actually travel there was a godsend, especially when involving powers she was very interested in gaining. And with her ability to create familiars...she was about to get quite the boost to her army.
The challenge mode was especially interesting, as it would mean that she wouldn't be able to use her familiars. Which as annoying as that might sound, with how powerful her physical power was, and how immensely large her magic was...she was sure this wasn't too big of a negative, not anymore.
The quests themselves were simple enough, but upon reading the words on how strong the peak of this dungeon would be, her face faulted slightly. She knew that she was strong, stronger than just about anyone else in her current universe, and beyond most, but...Solar Systems? That...that was a bit much, even for her. It'd be different if she could go all out on them, but with only her physical strength and magic...it was dangerous. Thankfully she had her adaption which would bring her a long way, enough to overcome that difference. Add in the power she'd naturally get from leveling, and that more than made up for the difference. "Those Dragon Gods...Ophis and Great Red, right? Probably best to steer clear of them for the time being. Wiping out the weaker Fallen angels, angels, and devils should be easy enough though" Taia muttered, as she began to spread her senses around the area, senses that were purely magical in nature.
"Looks like there's some sort of city nearby, that should be my first target. And considering their power levels and the feeling they're giving off, I'd guess they're Fallen Angels" Talia muttered as she sensed a feeling of "Light" but more...dark and corrupted, in comparison to the light that she herself could use.
"Well...off to kill some pigeons, I guess" Talia hummed, before teleporting off, ready to kill some new foes, and power level for a few hours.
[A few hours later]
A few hours had passed since she had begun her journey through the dungeon, and so far it had been...underwhelming. The fallen angels and devils dropped like flies around her when she ran into them, and so far, the strongest she had fought was an "Ultimate Class" Devil, which basically just meant devils that could destroy cities and entire mountains with ease. And she has killed 8 of them so far.
She had gathered all of their bodies of course, as having them as familiars would be a huge boon for future fights, especially against angelic or demonic beings. The kills had naturally given her progress towards leveling, and more than that, had managed to complete a part of her quests, after she had bombed a rather large city full of devils.
Kill 10 Devils - 2 Levels
Kill 100 Devils - 5 Levels
Kill 1,000 Devils - 15 Levels, 1 item
Kill 10 Fallen Angels - 2 Levels
Kill 100 Fallen Angels - 5 Levels
This had given her 29 levels, a new devil fruit, and a rather interesting item.
[12th Devil Fruit - Ope Ope no Mi (Op Op Fruit): The Ope Ope no Mi is a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit whose ability is to create a spherical domain, inside of which the user can freely rearrange, dismantle (without harm), and generally remodel/restructure anything and anyone (themself included) in a "surgical" way]
[Death Scythe - A scythe used by the grim reapers of the DXD universe. This scythe has the
powerful ability to cut at the very lifespan of those that are cut by its blade, whittling away at the lifespan of the one at the end of it. Should they get cut enough, then this will take all of their lifespan, allowing the user to claim their soul for themselves. The stronger the user of this Scythe, the more life force a single cut will take. Does not work against divine beings...not at the moment. When wielded, all death magic is 50% stronger]
The scythe was what really caught her attention, as if it was even half as powerful as she was expecting, then it would be a godsend against future foes, especially if she can find a way of having it fuse with her heavenly blade.
She had been planning on figuring out a method of fusing all her current weapons into the heavenly blade, but it was proving...difficult. The blade itself was incredibly powerful, and quite stubborn, refusing to even attempt to absorb anything that wasn't a sword. But she needed it to absorb other weapons, especially considering just how powerful her other
weapons were.
Besides that, her hours inside of the dungeon were...dreadfully boring, as nothing there was much of a challenge for her, even when weakening herself on purpose.
But finally, after a few hours, Talia decided it was time to get back to the real world. "Well that was boring as hell..." Talia muttered before promptly teleporting off, returning to the real world in an instant.
Back in the real world, Talia let out a sigh as she appeared in her apartment and flopped onto her couch. "Definitely going to need to finish all of that in one big burst, because I don't think days of that will be something I want to do much more of" Talia sighed out, not excited at the prospect of days of working in that dungeon.
The problem with the dungeon (and the reason she found it so dreadfully boring) was its size. It felt like it was infinite in size, and due to that, the foes she needed to kill were VERY spread out, making it an annoying process to find any fallen angels or devils, and she hadn't even run into an angel, God, or Dragon yet.
Glancing at the time, Talia let out a hum as she got to her feet and let out a sigh as she stretched. Letting out a small grin, Talia spoke out to herself, as she prepared to teleport off
once again.
"Seem's Kara needs some help..."
"Hopefully Lena Luthor is kinder than that brother of hers"

That's the end of the chapter!
This was...not a fun chapter to write, to be honest. I was struggling with how to do it, so it
didn't turn out the best. Next chapter will be her meeting Lena for the first time, and moren/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
stuff happening. Her next dungeon expedition will be MUCH better than this one, as this one
was...awful.
Anyways, have a good day!
