'This isn't necessarily a bad thing,' Yun Wuji thought quickly. 'She helped me and didn't show any hostility, which means she doesn't have any ill will toward me...at least for now. I can use this to my advantage.'

All these thoughts flashed through his mind in an instant. From the moment Luo Guxie spoke her name to now, not even a split second had passed.

Luo Guxie noticed Yun Wuji's expression freeze for a brief moment before he quickly recovered, maintaining a calm tone as he spoke. "So, it is Fairy Guxie, the number one expert in the Eastern Divine Region. It's my honor to have met you."

"Oh?" Luo Guxie was surprised this time. This man's reaction to her identity was astonishingly calm. One must know that for the people in the God Realm, Divine Masters were gods among mortals. Just hearing their name invoked reverence, and seeing them was like witnessing a living god! Not to mention, she was among the strongest of them!

She couldn't let him leave just yet...she still hadn't... Quickly, she called out, "Wait!" 'Gotcha bitch!' Yun Wuji shouted in his mind, then turned around and looked at her with a slightly confused expression. "Is there something, Fairy Guxie?"

"...I... I..." Luo Guxie seemed to suddenly realize her slip-up. She stammered for a moment, her eyes flickering before she quickly regained her composure. With a light cough to cover her awkwardness, she spoke again, her voice steadier this time. "Cough! Earlier, I inspected your body, and I noticed your talent. After seeing it, I wonder... Would you be willing to take me as your master?"

What she said was a lie. She had indeed checked his body but found nothing because something seemed to be obscuring her from inspecting his profound veins.

She didn't know his talent or how many laws he had cultivated, but that didn't matter to her. What mattered to her was that she wanted to keep him with her!

"Eeeh? Eeeeeeeh?" Yun Wuji froze his eyes widened into the size of an egg, he slowly raised his head. He parted his lips, his voice filled with surprise as he spoke, "Fairy Guxie, you want to take me as your disciple?!"

"What? You don't want to?" Luo Guxie crossed her arms beneath her sizeable chest, drawing a graceful arc, and raised an eyebrow as she asked.

"No, no! It's my honor to be Fairy's disciple!" Yun Wuji quickly regained his composure, kneeling on the ground and saying, "Disciple Fei Yang greets Master!"

While performing the ceremony, deep inside, his mind was racing. 'Strange, she's supposed to be very cold and unreasonable toward anyone other than her beloved son. Why is she acting like this toward me? information, I need information...'

Yun Wuji was filled with arrogance and confidence in himself, but he also had a keen sense of self-awareness. He knew when to advance and when to retreat. He didn't blindly provoke unnecessary troubles. It was clear that this woman had some hidden motive toward him, but for now, he couldn't afford to defy her.

All he could do was follow her lead and let things unfold as they would.

He was Fang Zhou, the Country Preceptor of Eastern Frost Country and the strongest person

within it.

Right after Fang Zhou appeared, a group of men surrounded their emperor, Dongfang Zhuo. Following Fang Zhou's lead, they all positioned themselves behind him and looked at Yun

Wuji with wary expressions.

"Who are you, sir?" one of them asked cautiously.

Yun Wuji looked at them with a gentle smile and said, "Hello everyone, I'm here to offer my services. Would you like to know about my protection service?"

Seeing his smile, Dongfang Zhuo's expression eased, and he asked tentatively, "Sire, what do

you mean by protection service?"

"Of course, it's to offer my protection," Yun Wuji maintained his gentle smile. After all, he needed to show some manners to his future customers, right?

One of the ministers asked curiously, "Protecting us from what?" Could this guy be offering his services to become the Country Preceptor like Fang Zhou? If so, that would be great news

for their country!

"Good question! I like smart people," Yun Wuji clapped his hands and nodded in approval toward the minister. Then he said, "It's to protect you from me, of course!"
