Awakening: Reincarnating With the SSS-Level Extraction Talent

Chapter 197 King of the Fox Tribe, Killing the Other Floor Bosses

After joining the [Beast (Fox)] tribe, literally this time, Alex immediately checked out the panel related to it.

[Bloodline: Human (F), Beast (Fox - B)]

The ranking wasn't that good, but it was more than enough for Alex as all he needed was one of the accepted bloodlines for the [Dragon Bloodline Trial].

Ding!

[You have been recognized as the King of the Fox Tribe!]

His eyes widened, and he immediately glanced at Alera, who smiled warmly at him.

"Thanks," Alex approached the queen and hugged her, "I'll make good use of it."

"No problem, you wouldn't be anything else for a king to any of us, after all," she winked.

'Does that mean I'm married to Alera...?' he thought to himself, but decided not to let it out.

"Anyway, with this, I should be able to do what I wanted to do, thank you so much," he bowed respectfully.

"It's fine, just make sure to reward me later~"

Alex stared at Alera, and he could see a mischievous look on her face, though she was blushing.

Because of the [Heart of Calamity], his [Undead King Curse] quite literally couldn't do anything to him at this point, meaning he didn't have to have sex to survive.

Still, he still liked the intimacy, so he did it quite often when he had the time.

Though now, there was a lot to do.

Alice and Aurelia, who watched as Alex fought the [Fox Guardian Spirit] and joined the fox tribe, couldn't help but be excited.

"A-Alera, can I join too?" Alice jumped up and down, "I wanna become a fox princess or something!"

"Haha~" The Queen laughed, patting Alice's head, "Sure, but that's for later since Alex seems to be in a hurry."

"Yeah, let's go," his expression grew serious once again.

He needed to get back to the [Tower of Destiny] to find dragon wings, as well as another [Dragonheart Essence].

Even with his [Extraction], there seemed to be some kind of conditions to get those.

He took the two girls' hands, opening up his [World Map] and teleporting them to the fifth floor of the tower.

Obviously, they were separated as they each were sent to a random place in the floor.

Regardless, Alex still found them rather easily as their dots were visible.

Alice was fighting a bunch of monsters with her [Blood Arrows] while Aurelia was running as fast as she could from a bunch of monsters.

After regrouping, they easily made their way through the floor thanks to Alex and Alice's powers, reaching the exit.

But just as they approached the threshold, Alex stopped abruptly.

His gaze lingered on the shimmering pillar, a sudden thought flashing through his mind.

"Hold on," he said, his tone firm.

Both girls turned to look at him, confusion evident on their faces.

"What's wrong?" Alice asked, wiping a streak of blood off her cheek.

"I need thirty minutes," Alex said, his voice steady despite the sudden interruption.

Aurelia blinked. "Why would you need to leave now?"

Alice raised an eyebrow.

"Is this about your curse?" Her voice held a teasing edge, though there was genuine concern in her eyes. "If it is, I can help you~"

"No, it's not that," Alex replied, shaking his head. "I just remembered something. The floor bosses, I need to kill the rest of them."

The memory resurfaced vividly: the [Fourth Floor: Spear Monkeys Jungle] and the [Guardian Ape], which was its floor boss.

After its defeat, a system panel had appeared, revealing that he needed to kill all ten floor bosses to unlock something important.

With Nivran already slain on the fifth floor, that left the first three floors still incomplete.

He didn't know for sure what was the purpose of doing so, but if it helped him get the [Token of the Tower], then there was nothing to lose.

He would need to kill the bosses inside of the [Lightwood Plains] (Floor 1), [Sunset Plains] (2) and [Night Plains] (3) for that.

"Alice, I trust you to protect Aurelia while I'm gone. I know you're strong enough to handle this."

She turned her face away, trying to mask her flustered reaction.

"Yeah, yeah, just go already. We'll be fine."

"Thanks," Alex said, offering a small smile before vanishing in a flash of light.

...

25 minutes later.

The hunt for the remaining floor bosses was straightforward but time-consuming.

The three floor bosses could only be found in their respective floors, and so they followed the usual levels of beast there.

The creatures themselves posed little challenge.

The first-floor boss was level 200, the second was level 300, and the third was level 400, none even remotely threatening to Alex.

Compared to Nivran's level 650, who was an exception to the rule as his level was far beyond the max level of the fifth floor, these bosses felt more like warm-ups than real battles.

In fact, the main difficulty was simply to find them, and once he did, the battle ended in a few minutes if not seconds.

[Extraction activated: +Plain Guardian Core (Rare), +5 Skill Points, +20 Strength]

Alex glanced at the loot with mild disinterest.

The rewards weren't impressive, but the satisfaction of ticking off another objective was good.

[Floor Bosses Defeated: 5/10]

[5 Remain.]

Without delay, he teleported back to the [Canyon of Death].

As he materialized near the girls' location, Alex's arrival couldn't have been better timed.

He landed with a flourish, his boots crushing the skull of a beast Alice had been fighting.

"Took you long enough," the archer grinned, "But thanks to all this, I've stocked up on enough [Blood Arrows] to last a while."

"That'll come in handy," Alex said. He glanced at Aurelia, who peeked out from behind a rock. "You okay?"

She nodded quickly, though her cheeks were slightly flushed with embarrassment.

"Good," Alex said. "Now let's finish this."

They all nodded in response, and so the group gathered at the base of the [Canyon of Death Exit Pillar].

Its ethereal glow bathed Alex in a soft light.

The air around it felt heavy with anticipation, as if the tower itself were aware of his intent.

His body still buzzed with the lingering energy of his transformation into a member of the Fox Tribe.

The boost in agility, even though it was only 20%, was still fantastic, and surely Alice and Aurelia would benefit a lot from it.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

As for the [Fire Fox Summons] (Basic) skill he had gotten, which was ranked [Mythical], one rank above Legendary, he still hadn't tried it.

He would do it in due time.

[A-Level Advancement Task: Defeat 50000 monsters with your undead.] (34563/50000)

He was getting closer to his goal of upgrading his undead talent too.

[Next Upgrade: 9,784/10000 Extraction Points.]

And his next upgrade of his talent was coming shortly, only a few more and he would get it.

"Level 600 to 700 monsters," Alex muttered to himself, gripping the hilt of his dagger as he entered the pillar, followed shortly by the two girls.

With a deep breath, he activated the pillar.

The world around him shifted, the soft light replaced by a brilliant flash.

When his vision cleared, he stood at the entrance of the sixth floor of the [Tower of Destiny].

[The Sixth Floor: The Wasteland of Shadows]

The sixth floor was an eerie expanse of desolation.

The ground was cracked and lifeless, dark mist swirling low to the surface.

The sky above was a perpetual twilight, casting long shadows over jagged cliffs and ruined structures that dotted the landscape.

Faint growls and whispers echoed from unseen corners, putting Alex on edge.

A golden notification panel appeared before him and the girls.

[Welcome to the Sixth Floor: Wasteland of Shadows]

[Monster Levels: 600–700]

"Straightforward enough," Alex muttered, scanning the area.

"This is crazy..." Aurelia, who wasn't on par with Alice's and Alex's strength, couldn't help but fear for her life.

The aura of this place was enough to terrify her.

"Don't worry," but Alex placed his hand on her head, "There's nothing to fear, I've beaten a level 650 Mythical boss already, so even monsters of this level shouldn't be an issue."

"O-Ok..." Aurelia smiled warmly, "Then let's find what you want."

"Yeah, Daniel wouldn't act so quickly, but we still need to inform your father, we need to level you up."

A sudden snarl interrupted their conversation.

From behind a crumbled structure, a hulking beast emerged.

It stood on four massive legs, its body covered in jagged obsidian-like scales.

Its eyes glowed a malevolent red, and tendrils of shadow seemed to writhe off its body.
