Conquest of Taboo and Debauchery

Chapter 194 194: The Enemy's Lair (Part 2)

Even Liu Junyi was puzzled as she watched Tok climb the tree. Just as she and Ye Fei were wondering why, they saw Tok stop about three meters up, reach out, and press a spot on the tree trunk. To their amazement, a large opening appeared in the tree, and without hesitation, Tok slipped inside. Moments later, the hole closed automatically behind him.

Ye Fei and Liu Junyi exchanged glances, silently agreeing to investigate. Ye Fei took hold of Liu Junyi and leaped onto the same tree. Liu Junyi found the spot Tok had pressed and located the mechanism beneath the bark. Instead of studying it further, she pressed it directly, activating the hidden passage.

Simultaneously, Ye Fei used his spiritual sense to explore inside the tree. He realized that the trunk was hollow, containing a staircase descending far below. His spiritual sense couldn't detect the full length of the staircase, but he saw no guards stationed along the way, indicating the enemy's confidence in the secrecy of their hideout.

As the tree opened up, just as it had for Tok, Ye Fei entered first. Although his spiritual sense had confirmed the passage was safe, he wasn't about to take any chances by letting Liu Junyi go first.

Once both of them were inside, the passage closed again, leaving them in darkness. They could barely make out a few meters ahead. Taking Liu Junyi's hand, Ye Fei guided her as they moved slowly down the stairs.

Liu Junyi felt safe and comforted by his presence, a sense of warmth and sweetness filling her heart. Whatever anxieties she'd had about their relationship faded away, as if this dark passage through enemy territory was actually a path leading toward their happiness.

After descending hundreds of meters, they finally reached the bottom of the passage, stepping into a massive hall roughly the size of a football field. This enormous underground space surprised even Ye Fei. Not only was there this central hall, but countless rooms were also built around it, and at the far end, a wide corridor stretched even deeper underground.

The hall was completely empty and quiet. After using his spiritual sense to confirm there were no hidden threats, Ye Fei led Liu Junyi along the hall's perimeter, peeking into the small rooms as they went. Most appeared to be dormitories, each crammed with at least ten men of varying ethnicities. Based on his estimates, this hall alone could accommodate thousands of people.

As they moved, Ye Fei described to Liu Junyi what he sensed within each room. Her expression grew darker with each revelation. She felt puzzled at Ye Fei's ability to see through walls, but knowing this wasn't the time for questions, she kept silent. Instead, she felt a growing pride in his strength and abilities.

Nearing the far end of the hall, Ye Fei noticed one room that was considerably larger than the others. As he peered inside, he was taken aback by what he saw: dozens of monitors lined the walls, each displaying a different view. Some screens showed familiar scenes—the paths they had taken earlier. At the room's center, several large generators hummed, evidently powering all the equipment in the facility.

Realizing the enemy had set up extensive surveillance, Ye Fei felt a rush of relief that he and Liu Junyi had approached through the treetops.

The cameras were only focused on the lower parts of the trees, so their movements had gone undetected. Fortunately, it seemed the enemy had grown complacent in their underground stronghold, as there were no cameras in this main hall.

After hearing Ye Fei's description, Liu Junyi scowled and whispered, "It's clear they've been preparing for this for a long time. That man's obsession with controlling the special forces is astounding—he's truly willing to go to any length!"

"The Special Operations Team is a powerful asset," Ye Fei replied with a smile. "Controlling it would be worth all that effort. But whoever dared to target my beloved Junyi has made a grave mistake. They're about to realize that trying to 'steal a chicken will cost them the rice.'"

Liu Junyi blushed, delighted by his words but retorted playfully, "Well, you're the chicken!"

Laughing, Ye Fei replied, "Fine, I'll be a big rooster, and you can be my lovely hen."

"Oh, stop it! You're just a little chick!" Liu Junyi giggled, sticking out her tongue at him. Then, more seriously, she said, "Let's continue inside and take a closer look."n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

Ye Fei nodded and led her forward. They entered a narrow passageway about twenty meters long, which opened up into a second hall similar in size to the first.

After their recent discoveries, Ye Fei proceeded with even greater caution, probing each step with his spiritual sense. But it seemed the enemy's confidence had made them negligent—there were no guards, nor were there cameras monitoring the space.

The layout of this hall mirrored the previous one, complete with dormitory rooms along the sides, though it lacked the computer and monitor room. Ye Fei estimated that if similar numbers of people filled the other rooms, this facility could hold at least ten thousand enemy combatants.

As he thought of the potential scale of casualties in a battle against such a force, Ye Fei resolved to use every bit of his strength to minimize his comrades' risks. He felt sure that the more he demonstrated his abilities, the more respect he'd command, which would be crucial in gaining the loyalty of the team members in the future.

After passing through the second hall, the two finally reached the deepest area of the underground facility. This time, the scene changed significantly.

They entered a smaller, 20-square-meter space, arranged more like a cozy living room. Several doors led off from this room, each appearing far more luxurious than the dormitories, giving the impression of high-ranking quarters, similar to hotel suites. It was clear that these rooms were reserved for the enemy leadership.

Ye Fei checked the rooms, finding four out of five empty. He pulled Liu Junyi close as they approached the one occupied room. Then he lightly tapped the ceiling above it, opening a small hollow space large enough for the two of them to hide in.

Under Liu Junyi's admiring gaze, Ye Fei created a small lookout hole that allowed them to view the room below. Inside, they saw Tok standing nervously before a towering man, an imposing figure over six feet tall. This man, though shorter than Tok, was an intimidating Oriental whose aura was as intense as Li Si's had been. No wonder Tok looked so frightened.

The man was reclining on a sofa, dressed formally in a Zhongshan suit. His pants were lowered to his knees, and a blonde woman knelt before him, her head bobbing up and down. Completely unclothed, she continued her task with clear purpose, though her face was concealed.

Liu Junyi turned away, whispering in embarrassment, "Don't you dare look either!"

Ye Fei chuckled, amused by her jealousy. Gently squeezing her hand, he whispered back, "Why would I? My Junyi is far more beautiful than that girl. She doesn't interest me in the slightest." He wasn't just flattering her; while the blonde had exaggerated curves, her coarseness was repulsive to him.

Liu Junyi, though secretly pleased, teased, "So you're saying if there were someone better than me, you wouldn't look my way?"

Ye Fei leaned close, whispering with a grin, "There's no one in this world more beautiful than you, my Junyi."

"Oh, really?" she giggled softly. "What about my sister? Is she not as pretty?"

Ye Fei blushed, moving his hand in a playful but firm response. However, he fell silent as the man below finally opened his eyes.

"Still no word from Old Li?" His voice, as gruff as his appearance, carried a distinct Beijing accent, confirming he was from Longguo—a trusted associate of the "master," no doubt.

Tok, trembling, replied, "No, he hasn't come back since yesterday."

A dark scowl crossed the man's face. He grabbed the blonde woman's hair, forcing her to look up. Ye Fei quickly shielded Liu Junyi's eyes, not wanting her to see the vulgar sight below. Not that it mattered—Liu Junyi had zero interest in other men.

The man addressed Tok coldly. "Describe everything that happened yesterday, without leaving out any details."

Tok cast a quick glance at the girl's exaggerated curves before recounting the previous day's events.

The man's scowl deepened. "So, you think Old Li sensed something unusual and went to investigate?"

"Yes," Tok nodded. "I think he noticed something."

"What a joke." The man sneered. "I've warned that he was never trustworthy, but the master ignored me!"

Tok, understanding the tensions between the two, kept silent and simply waited.

The man demanded, "Are the preparations complete? Their full attack could start any day now."

Tok nodded. "Yes, everything's in place." Continue your adventure with empire

"Good." The man grinned darkly. "Once I get their route, I'll assign positions. This time, none of them will escape!" He dismissed Tok with a wave.

Tok took one last, envious glance at the blonde before leaving. As soon as he was gone, the man slapped the woman's backside and growled, "Put some energy into it!"

She let out an exaggerated moan and resumed her task with renewed enthusiasm.

Ye Fei and Liu Junyi, realizing they had heard all they needed, Ye Fei and Liu Junyi silently left their hiding place and made their way out of the lair. Following Tok's path, they retraced their steps and slipped out of the underground stronghold, making sure to leave no trace of their presence behind.
