Chapter 652: Chapter 652 Not Enough Fun_1

The doors and windows immediately slammed shut, with bullets whizzing through the windows from time to time, shattering the glass into fragments!

The guests took shelter in the hall, behind sofas, under tables, beside walls, each desperately curling up, fearing being hit by stray bullets.

The older ones managed to remain composed, while the younger ones, who had never experienced such a firefight, turned deathly pale with fright.

Violet Nelson was the most panicked of all; she had lived a sheltered life in Kingsley, where the security was watertight, with constant police watch. She had scarcely even seen a robbery, let alone a gun attack!

Gerald Graves was completely at a loss.

Was he really going to kick the bucket on his birthday?

He was only twenty-one! In the prime of his youth, he hadn’t lived life to the fullest yet!

The sound of gunfire grew closer; bullets flew in from outside, striking the cups and plates on the table and exploding with a bang, startling everyone.

The Graves family’s security was tight, but today, for the second young master’s birthday, there were more than twice the usual number of guards. Who would be so bold as to target the Graves family at such a time?!

Just hearing the intense gunfire indicated that the attackers were well-prepared and ferocious!

Purple Summers crouched and ran over, asking Gerald, “Second young master, does the house have an arsenal?”

People like Gavin Graves, with his status, certainly had an extensive collection of weapons at home.

Gerald quickly nodded, “Upstairs!”

“Take me there,” Purple Summers glanced behind him and asked, “Does anyone here know how to use a gun?”

“I’ll go with you!” Ryan Wesley said.

The young men and women, hearing Purple Summers as if she were looking for help, immediately became anxious, “What’s happening outside? Are they going to break in?”

Purple Summers was the last to enter with Roy Howard, and so she presumably knew best what was going on with this attack.

“The only road to the city has been deliberately destroyed, Young Master Graves’s men from outside can’t get through. It would take at least fifteen minutes to dispatch reinforcements by helicopter. We probably can’t hold out much longer here.”

Purple Summers did not hold back and told them everything.

She said, “I need some helpers to buy Young Master Graves some time for rescue.”

Gerald also realized the urgency of the situation and did not dare delay, immediately leading Purple Summers upstairs.

Ryan Wesley kicked Carson Graves beside him and cursed, “Stop pretending, I know you can shoot. If you don’t want to die, hurry up and get upstairs!”

Wealthy young masters almost all knew how to use guns because it was considered cool, so they had had some exposure to them and even often went to shooting ranges together for competitions.

But they had never experienced a life-threatening shooting like this before!

Jane McCain and Zara Jameson didn’t want to huddle with these people and followed Purple Summers and Ryan Wesley upstairs. Several young masters who could shoot did the same, while the rest, men and women, were in a state of panic. Subconsciously feeling the upper floor might be safer, they followed the crowd upstairs.

Gerald led them to a room on the third floor. At first glance, it was just an ordinary guest room, but when they flipped over the mattress and opened the wardrobe, it was filled with armory!

Everyone gasped at the sight of real guns and live ammunition!

Purple Summers wasted no time, quickly opening the magazines, loading the firearms with bullets, and distributing them.

The metal of the weapons felt cold and heavy in their hands, causing anxiety.

“What, what should we do?” a wealthy young master nervously swallowed. He had decent shooting skills, but targets at a shooting range were stationary, he had never shot at live targets.

Purple Summers opened a window, and suddenly a stray bullet hit the sill; she immediately sidestepped, but couldn’t avoid the glass shards spraying up.

A clear red mark sliced across her delicate, fair face, followed by beads of crimson blood.

“Purple! Your face!” Zara Jameson exclaimed.

“It’s nothing,” Purple Summers frowned and wiped it off nonchalantly.

She looked up again to see the pampered sons of privilege all staring at her. n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

“What are you spacing out for?” Purple Summers said impatiently, “Pairs of two, find a window and shoot! Try to draw their fire, distract the enemy, and relieve the pressure on Young Master Graves’s men!”
