Gravity Mage with Level-Up System

Chapter 1053 Part 1: Students' reaction

From MC's Perspective:

The following day, I woke up with a start, realizing I had slept in. As I climbed out of bed and began my morning routine, a familiar mechanical voice echoed in my mind.

[Ding! Spying is detected.]

[Host is advised to stay alert.]

My suspicions were confirmed. The Dean had sent someone to keep tabs on me. A wave of annoyance washed over me. I had once roamed freely in the Gregor Mansion, but now I was forced to conform to a mundane existence.

However, I quickly regained my composure and headed to the bathroom to freshen up.

Twenty minutes later, I emerged from the bathroom, clad in my uniform.

The Guardian, a shadowy figure observing Vincent's every move, was momentarily startled. For a fleeting second, he feared exposure. However, he quickly dismissed the thought. A level-5 Wizard, he knew, would be incapable of detecting his presence.

Perhaps, he concluded, this was simply Vincent Carey's usual morning routine.

Shortly afterward, I emerged from the bathroom, dressed in my Mage Uniform. Approaching the mirror, I ran a comb through my hair and gave myself a final inspection.

Twenty minutes later, I left my room and exited the dorm building. A chilling memory washed over me. Yesterday, I had felt an intense killing intent emanating from this very spot. Today, however, someone else seemed to be protecting me.

"I wonder what happened after that incident," I mused to myself.

Due to the watchful presence of someone else, I refrained from accessing the internet. Not only was this person protecting me, but they might also be reporting my daily activities to the Dean.

As I arrived at the main building, I was greeted by a sizable crowd gathered outside the academy. Wizard students were engaged in animated discussions, their voices filled with excitement.

However, as soon as I appeared, a ripple of commotion passed through the crowd. In an instant, I found myself the center of attention, their gazes fixed upon me with a palpable sense of fear. It was an intense, almost primal fear, devoid of any contempt or disdain.

This was the first time I had witnessed such a reaction. It was clear that this fear was directly linked to the library incident. No one dared to use magic spells inside the library, and the consequences of doing so were evidently severe.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

"It's practically forbidden to do something so reckless inside the library," I thought to myself. Not only had I been caught, but I had also been released unharmed. I was now safely walking outside, but Craig Steel's situation must be dire.

As I approached the main door, the students blocking my path parted to let me pass. Nodding in acknowledgment, I entered the building and headed toward the Sub-Taboo Hall.

A collective gasp echoed outside.

"Vincent Carey is walking around as if nothing happened?"

"He looks fine!"

"What about our Senior Craig?"

"Damn, our Senior Craig must have faced severe punishment."

"Our Transformation Hall is being treated unfairly."

"We Transformation Wizards should do something about this."

"The Steel Family is gone. It's difficult to save Senior Craig."

The wizards, all from the Transformation Hall, were discussing the situation. They had gathered here to witness Vincent Carey's condition firsthand.

Seeing Vincent Carey unharmed, the other wizard students felt a sense of injustice. Those present in the library during the incident had witnessed the powerful explosion that resulted from their combined magic spells.

While Vincent Carey was walking free, their Senior Brother Craig had been captured, and his entire family had been implicated.

By now, the entire capital was aware of the Steel Family's plight. However, the Yellow River Academy had remained silent, fueling speculation among the students.

This lack of official statement led to a widespread belief that the academy was favoring Vincent Carey, not only punishing Craig Steel but also making his family pay for his mistakes.

As the winner of the Wizard Heart Competition, Vincent Carey's influence had been further elevated by the recent visit of the messenger from the Mage Union.

He was now the most influential individual of his age, far surpassing his peers. This newfound prominence had attracted the attention of the Transformation Wizards, who sought a connection with him.

Meanwhile, I arrived at the Sub-Taboo Hall. As I had observed outside, a small group of people were lingering around the entrance. Upon seeing me, their murmurs began, but none of them dared to meet my gaze. I turned and glanced at them, my eyes scanning the crowd.

I noticed the insignia of their respective halls on their uniforms: most were from the Weapon Hall and the Elemental Hall, while a few belonged to other Wizard Halls.

However, I didn't see a single Bloodline Wizard, the ones who typically caused me problems. My eyes narrowed. It seemed someone had spoken some sense into them.

Dismissing these thoughts, I scanned my ID to enter the hall. The door behind me closed automatically.

Looking around, I realized I was the first to arrive. I sat down on a sofa and leaned back, relaxing. Yesterday's incident had alarmed Sister Carolina, and I was curious about Senior Gilbert's situation. There was also no news of Elder Galvin.

Closing my eyes, I decided to take a short nap.

Shortly afterward, Carolina Slate entered the room, her face etched with annoyance. The presence of people gathered outside had clearly irritated her, and she anticipated the situation to escalate in the coming days.

As her eyes landed on Vincent, sprawled out on the sofa, her expression softened. Approaching him, she sat down opposite him, her gaze fixed on his sleeping form. Gently, she called out his name, her voice filled with concern.

"Vincent! Vincent!"

Awakened by her voice, I opened my eyes and met her gaze.

"You're here," I said, a smile creeping onto my face. "But your expression seems troubled. Did the people outside not greet you well?"

Carolina looked concerned. I wanted to hear it directly from her. So I sat up straight and gazed at her.
