I Made Up Forbidden Spells, and They Actually Worked?

Chapter 264 Returning to the Roots, Seeking Seclusion in Notting City

Dean Bruce thought for a moment before speaking. "We can use the Magic Circle we created earlier to track the movements of the Dark Enforcer organization. At the same time, we need to strengthen the academy's defenses to prevent any surprise attacks."

Alice added, "We can also reach out to other magical factions for help in fighting against the Dark Enforcer organization."

Dean Bruce nodded. "Good idea, Alice. Let's split up and get to work. Putin, you'll focus on reinforcing the academy's defenses; Alice, you'll contact the other magical factions; Delina, you'll come with me to track the Dark Enforcer's movements."

Everyone nodded in agreement and went about their tasks.

Dean Bruce and Delina Reba, armed with the Magic Circle, followed the previous tracking results and made their way toward the hideout of the Dark Enforcer remnants. After a challenging journey and intense battles, they finally located the Dark Enforcer's hideout.

It was a concealed cave, its entrance fortified with powerful magical wards and traps. But Dean Bruce and Delina Reba didn't hesitate. Using their immense strength and flawless teamwork, they broke through the wards and traps and entered the cave.

The interior of the cave was dark and damp, filled with a heavy aura of darkness. Dean Bruce and Delina Reba proceeded cautiously, staying alert to every sound. Suddenly, a low, mocking laugh echoed through the darkness.

"Ha ha, you finally made it," a familiar voice said. "I thought you wouldn't dare to come."

Dean Bruce turned toward the voice and saw a figure in a black cloak standing not far away, looking coldly at them. The person was none other than Jason Phillips, the leader of the Dark Enforcer's remaining forces.

"Jason, you're still alive," Dean Bruce said coldly. "Today will be your end."

Jason Phillips sneered. "Hmph, do you really think you can defeat me so easily? You're too naïve. Today, you will all die here!"

With that, he waved his wand, and a surge of dark energy immediately rushed toward Dean Bruce and Delina Reba. They quickly cast spells to defend themselves, but Jason Phillips' power was overwhelming, and they were soon forced to retreat.

"This isn't working!" Dean Bruce said anxiously. "We need to find his weakness!"

Delina Reba gritted her teeth. "Teacher, I'll distract him. You take the opportunity to strike back!"

Dean Bruce knew that was their only chance. He nodded. "Alright, Delina, be careful!"

Delina Reba nodded in response and charged forward, engaging in close combat with Jason Phillips. Dean Bruce, seizing the chance, unleashed a powerful magical attack, trying to break Jason Phillips' assault.

However, Jason Phillips suddenly vanished, as if he had melted into the darkness.

"This isn't good. He's gone invisible!" Dean Bruce exclaimed.

At that moment, a cold, chilling wind suddenly swept through the cave. Dean Bruce felt a shiver run down his spine, as if something was watching him.

"There!" Delina Reba suddenly pointed and shouted.

Dean Bruce followed her finger, and there, once again, was Jason Phillips. His figure materialized, coldly staring at them.

"Hmph, do you really think you can defeat me so easily?" Jason Phillips sneered. "Today, you will all die here!"

With that, he waved his wand again, and an even more powerful surge of dark energy shot toward Dean Bruce and Delina Reba. They quickly cast spells to defend themselves, but their magical energy had been nearly depleted. They were soon forced to retreat under the overwhelming force of Jason Phillips' attack.

"What do we do? Teacher, we can't hold on much longer!" Delina Reba said anxiously.

Dean Bruce gritted his teeth. "Don't give up, we will find his weakness!"

At that moment, he recalled his previous battle with Morgana. He knew that while dark magic was formidable, it also had its weaknesses. If they could find that weakness, they could defeat Jason Phillips.

"Delina, hang in there! I've found his weakness!" Dean Bruce shouted, then closed his eyes, concentrating to sense Jason Phillips' magical fluctuations.

After a few moments of focus, he finally pinpointed Jason Phillips' Source of Magic his heart.

"There! That's where we need to strike!" Dean Bruce opened his eyes and pointed toward Jason Phillips' heart. "If we attack his heart, we can defeat him!"

Delina Reba's eyes lit up with hope. "Got it, teacher! Let's go!"

With that, they charged at Jason Phillips. Clearly, he hadn't anticipated that they would find his weakness so quickly. By the time he realized it, it was already too late.

Dean Bruce and Delina Reba launched their attacks simultaneously, and a blinding beam of light shot straight toward Jason Phillips' heart. Jason Phillips screamed as the light hit him, and his body was sent flying backward.

"Pfft!"

Jason Phillips spat out a mouthful of blood, his face turning as pale as paper. He stared at Dean Bruce and Delina Reba, shocked. "You... How could you be so strong?"

Dean Bruce coldly responded, "Evil can never triumph over justice. Jason Phillips, your end has come."

With that, he raised his wand once again, ready to deliver the final blow. However, just then, a mysterious figure appeared behind him.

"Teacher, look out!" Delina Reba cried in warning.

Dean Bruce turned around just in time to see a cloaked figure sneaking up on him, a dagger gleaming coldly in their hand. Dean Bruce's heart skipped a beat, and he swiftly sidestepped to avoid the attack.

"Hmph, think you can dodge? Not so easily," the mysterious figure sneered, launching another attack at Dean Bruce.

Dean Bruce blocked the mysterious figure's strike while shouting to Delina Reba, "Delina, go check if Jason Phillips is dead!"

Delina Reba nodded and walked over to Jason Phillips. When she reached his side, she found that he had no breath left.

"Teacher, he's dead," Delina Reba said.

Upon hearing this, Dean Bruce felt a wave of victory and relief wash over him. He knew that this battle was finally over. However, just as he was about to relax, the mysterious figure intensified their attack.

"Teacher, look out!" Delina Reba shouted urgently.

Dean Bruce realized that he couldn't delay any longer. He had to take down the mysterious figure quickly. Taking a deep breath, he began to focus and sense the figure's magical fluctuations.

After a moment of concentration, he finally pinpointed the source of the mysterious figure's magic his head.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

"There!" Dean Bruce shouted, then raised his wand. A brilliant beam of light shot toward the figure's head. The mysterious figure didn't expect Dean Bruce to find his Source of Magic. By the time he reacted, it was already too late.

The beam of light pierced through the figure's head, and he screamed in agony before collapsing to the ground.

"Phew…" Dean Bruce exhaled deeply, looking at the figure lying motionless on the ground. A feeling of bittersweet relief filled his heart. He knew that this battle, though difficult, had finally come to an end.

"Teacher, we did it!" Delina Reba exclaimed with excitement.

Dean Bruce smiled and nodded. "Yes, we did. But the battle isn't over yet. We must continue to strengthen the academy's defenses to prevent Dark Enforcer from attacking again."

Delina Reba nodded. "I understand, teacher. I'll stay by your side and help protect the academy."

At that moment, the system's voice echoed in Dean Bruce's ear.

"Host, it's time to leave," the system reminded.

Dean Bruce paused for a moment, then understood the system's meaning. He realized that his mission in this world was complete, and it was time to return to the real world.

He turned to look at Delina Reba, feeling a pang of reluctance. Over the course of their journey, they had faced countless battles and adventures together, becoming the closest of partners.

"Teacher, what's wrong?" Delina Reba noticed the strange expression on Dean Bruce's face and asked curiously.

Dean Bruce took a deep breath, smiled, and said, "It's nothing, Reba. It's just… I have to leave."

"Leave? Where are you going?" Delina Reba asked, surprised.

Dean Bruce shook his head. "To a very far place. Reba, you are an excellent Magician, and I believe you will become one of the best in the magical world in the future. But I have completed my mission, and it's time for me to leave."

Upon hearing this, Delina Reba's eyes flickered with a hint of sadness. "Teacher Dean, do you really have to go? Can't you stay?"

"The situation here is almost settled," Dean Bruce said. "I've received news that in another world, I may find the whereabouts of my parents. I have to go."

"We'll go with you!" Alice said.

"Yes, we'll go with you too!" Putin Hawthorne quickly added.

A warm feeling surged in Dean Bruce's heart as he looked at his students, but he shook his head.

"Thank you for your kindness, but this is a personal matter of mine. I don't want to drag you all into danger," Dean Bruce said. "Besides, I don't even know what that world is like. If there's any danger, I don't want to involve you."

Alice and Putin Hawthorne's eyes glistened with disappointment, but they understood the reason behind Dean Bruce's words.

"Well then, Teacher Dean, please be careful," Alice said.

"Yes, teacher, please come back safe," Putin Hawthorne added.

Dean Bruce smiled and nodded. "Don't worry, I will. You all need to keep practicing your magic and protect the academy. Once I find my parents, I'll definitely return."

With that, he turned and walked toward the portal. Alice, Putin Hawthorne, and Delina Reba followed him, wanting to see him off one last time.

Standing before the portal, Dean Bruce looked back at his students. A wave of emotion washed over him. He knew that once he left, he didn't know when or if he would return. But he also believed that as long as he had faith and courage in his heart, he would always find his way, no matter where he went.

"Goodbye, my students," Dean Bruce said. "I will miss you."

With those final words, he stepped into the portal and vanished in a flash of light.

Alice, Putin Hawthorne, and Delina Reba stood watching the direction where Dean Bruce had disappeared, their eyes brimming with tears. They knew that Teacher Dean had left this world, but they also believed that he would return.

Dean Bruce, on the other hand, found himself in an unfamiliar world through the portal. He looked around and saw a vast, barren desert, the scorching sun high above, and heat waves rising from the ground.

Dazed and confused, he spotted two figures approaching from the distance.

As they drew closer, he was shocked to realize that it was none other than his parents, the ones he had been searching for all this time.

"Mom, Dad, why are you here?" Dean Bruce asked, his voice filled with disbelief. "Where is this place?"

"Son, you've finally arrived." Dean Bruce's father, a middle-aged man with a weary face but eyes gleaming with excitement, said, "This is the desert outside of Notting City. We've been trapped here for a long time."

Dean Bruce's mother, a gentle woman, stepped forward and tightly grasped his hand. "Dean, we've been waiting for you. We've finally waited for you."

Dean Bruce felt a mix of emotions stir within him. He had never imagined that after all the hardships, he would finally find his parents in this strange world. But the scene before him made him furrow his brows.

"Mom, Dad, how did this place become like this? Why have you been trapped here?" Dean Bruce asked.

His father sighed and replied, "Ever since you disappeared, we've been searching for you. Later, we learned that you might have come to this world, so we followed. But we never expected that this world was shrouded by an evil force, and as soon as we arrived, we were trapped here in this desert."

"Don't be afraid, Mom and Dad. I have a way to get out of this desert," Dean Bruce said, summoning the system to search for a way out.

The system responded, "Host, based on the current environment analysis, in order to leave this desert, you need to find the hidden oasis. Inside the oasis is a Magic Circle that can guide you out of this place."

Hearing this, Dean Bruce felt a little relieved. He turned to his parents. "Mom, Dad, stay close to me. I've found a way to get us out of this desert."

With that, he led his parents through the scorching desert. The heat was unbearable, each step felt like walking on hot iron, but Dean Bruce, guided by his unwavering faith and the system's instructions, finally found an oasis hidden within a secluded valley.

In the center of the oasis stood an ancient Magic Circle, glowing with a soft light. Dean Bruce approached the Magic Circle and began to study it carefully. He noticed that this Magic Circle seemed similar to some of the ones he had studied in the magical world, but with subtle differences.

"System, how do I activate this Magic Circle?" Dean Bruce asked in his mind.

The system responded immediately, "Host, this Magic Circle requires a specific incantation and magical energy fluctuations to activate. Please follow the steps provided…"

Dean Bruce followed the system's instructions, reciting the incantation and channeling his magic into the circle. As the incantation was spoken and his magic flowed into the circle, the Magic Circle began to shine even brighter, as if a mysterious force was stirring.

Suddenly, a beam of light shot out from the Magic Circle, illuminating the entire oasis. Dean Bruce and his parents felt as though a powerful force had lifted them up and carried them toward the distance.

When the light faded, they found themselves in a forest outside of Notting City. Dean Bruce looked around at the familiar surroundings, and a wave of indescribable excitement surged through him.

"We're back!" Dean Bruce's father exclaimed excitedly.

Dean Bruce's mother also tightly grasped his hand. "Dean, thank you for bringing us back."

Dean Bruce smiled and shook his head. "Mom, Dad, this is what I should do. Now, we're safe. We can go home."

The family of three walked hand in hand, heading toward the direction of Notting City.
