Chapter 134 134: Ancient Crocodile Dragon
"Angry Dragon Sacred Set... Even with the Dragon Horn and Dragon Bone, the success rate is still this low."
Orson frowned. Last night, he had gone to the Grey Dwarves with materials from the Frost Dragon, but even with their help, the success rate of crafting the 35-level Angry Dragon Sacred Set was only 35%.
There was a way to increase the success rate to 70%, which was to use the sacred Dragon Crystal as the primary material. However, Orson didn't think it was worth it. After all, the Crimson Lizard King had already reached 300% of its Devour Growth and needed a Dragon Crystal to upgrade into a Domain Lord-level Beast.
From a power-up perspective, it was clear that the Crimson Lizard King had to prioritize the legendary three-piece set. Moreover, using a Dragon Crystal just doubled the chances; it wasn't a guaranteed success, which made the cost-benefit ratio too low.
"Forget it, I'll just upgrade the Soul Seal first."n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
Orson muttered to himself, but in his heart, he was already plotting how to find a chance to take down Burns the Guardian, that Earth Dragon. To solve the material issue, it was simply a matter of killing a few more dragons.
Disguised, Orson left the city and summoned the Crimson Lizard King.
"Lord-Class Beast... What is this, a big brother? We're farming level 22 monsters, and you're summoning this thing to steal the kills?"
"Orsix? Isn't that Orgod?"
"Unbelievable, a boss with over ten million HP, and it's his beast?"
...
Orson mounted his Lizard King, drawing gasps from the players farming monsters outside the city. The massive figure of the Crimson Lizard King made people's scalps tingle, and they couldn't help but feel envious, fantasizing about one day riding their own battle beasts in Infinite Dimensions.
"He's acting so cocky, aside from the idiot beast following him around, all of his top-tier equipment is exposed."
"Yeah, now he doesn't even dare to take off his disguise. What, afraid we'll see his trash gear? Ha-ha!"
Of course, many players were snickering at his expense. The three-crown king had just been "stripped" by the Dragon Knight, and soon after, the Celestial Fortress was being attacked by NPC armies. Naturally, other top guilds would take the opportunity to kick him when he was down.
In their eyes, Godslayer was already a thing of the past, barely hanging on, and Orgod would become a joke for many players to laugh at.
Orson heard these light-hearted remarks but remained unfazed, casting a cold glance at the farming players before smiling faintly. He deliberately kept his imperial robe disguise on, hoping the players would think he was nervous.
Vroom...
A wild gale swept through, and the Crimson Lizard King spread its wings over a hundred meters, blowing the idle players scattered in all directions. In the blink of an eye, the crimson gale vanished into the sky.
Ten minutes later, Orson arrived above Purple Thunder Fortress.
"Poison Rain?"
Orson's gaze sharpened as purple rain suddenly poured down from the sky.
Poisoned -1000
Poisoned -1200
...
The damage from the purple poison rain kept increasing, and Orson's sharp eyes scanned the area. A thick purple mist covered the sky, obscuring the view of the city.
The reason Purple Thunder Fortress got its name was because of the toxic mist that surrounded it, forming a natural poison barrier that protected the city.
"Wind God's Sigh."
Orson waved his staff, and a fierce wind blew, dispersing the poisonous clouds above, stopping the poison damage.
"Bloodthirsty Butcher Orgod, you are not welcome here," a deep male voice echoed in Orson's ears.
"Guardian of Purple Thunder Fortress?" Orson's expression darkened.
"Know your place, and leave now!" the voice growled.
The Guardian of Purple Thunder Fortress was a deadly creature with both poison and thunder attributes, known as the Crocodile Dragon. Though it had "dragon" in its name, it was not related to the Dragon Clan. In truth, it was a giant, poisonous alligator turtle, but due to its immense power, it had become a guardian, just like lower-ranked dragons.
"Do you want Purple Thunder Fortress to follow Pondenorlin City and declare war on me?" Orson sneered.
The Crocodile Dragon did not respond. Orson remained calm: "I came to Purple Thunder Fortress on a mission. If you dare lay a hand on me, I'll destroy you."
"Hmph, you think you can act up just because you killed an old wild dragon?" A dull thud resounded, and suddenly, a purple lightning bolt streaked through the sky. Orson's eyes narrowed as the surrounding space cracked with a sound, and a destructive aura erupted.
The Crimson Lizard King roared and unleashed its Destruction Breath, countering the purple lightning head-on.
To Orson's surprise, the purple lightning seemed alive, splitting into more than ten smaller bolts, which exploded on impact.
The Crimson Lizard King growled and stretched its neck, accepting the damage head-on. Immediately, the crimson scales on its body began to show signs of corrosion.
Poisoned -10000
Poisoned -15000
...
Exaggerated damage numbers kept popping up, and within just a few breaths, it had accumulated nearly 100,000 poison damage—an astonishing amount!
"Are you sure you want to make a move on me? Fine then!" Orson's eyes flashed with madness. The purple mist surrounded him, and although he couldn't see where the Crocodile Dragon was hiding, if Purple Thunder Fortress didn't have a barrier, then it was not his problem!
Suddenly, a massive six-pointed star appeared above Purple Thunder Fortress, and the surging fire element dispersed the poison mist.
Orson's face was cold as he raised his hands. His Sacred Realm Power Staff floated before him.
"Brahma's Div..."
"Stop! The citizens of the city are innocent. Adventurer, don't be reckless!"
Just as the singularity fireball was about to appear, the Crocodile Dragon could no longer stay calm. It was utterly surprised that Orson was so ruthless and ready to destroy the city at a moment's notice.
"It's too late."
Orson's voice was icy, and a bloodthirsty aura filled the air as the singularity fireball materialized and lit up the sky above Purple Thunder Fortress.
At that moment, Orson's eyes narrowed, and in the swirling purple mist, a massive shadow shifted. It was obvious that the Crocodile Dragon was hiding there.
"Celestial Descent."
Orson whispered, and meteors began to fall from the sky. Multiple effects were triggered as three meteors were directed toward the Purple Thunder Fortress guild's headquarters.
He didn't care about any regrets or whether the citizens were innocent.
He had been poisoned by this old turtle for no reason. There was no way he wouldn't get some revenge.
"Damned brat!!" Stay tuned to empire
The Crocodile Dragon let out a furious roar. Suddenly, its mountain-like body leapt high into the air, flying several hundred meters into the sky!
With a large, moss-covered head, it extended toward Orson. Orson's eyes widened as the creature swallowed the Brahma's Divine Flame in one gulp!
Then, with another leap, several buildings collapsed as the Crocodile Dragon devoured the remaining three meteors!
Fatal Blow -3,000,000!
A monstrous damage number appeared, leaving Orson stunned.
"This old turtle... is ruthless!"
Four A-rank spells exploded inside the Crocodile Dragon, dealing an extraordinary amount of damage. This kind of damage could only occur when skills were forcibly implanted into a boss's body, triggering very strict conditions and dealing damage that was more than double that of a regular critical hit.
For most Lord-level bosses, this single attack would have been enough to instantly kill them.
"Glurk..."
The Crocodile Dragon burped and surprisingly showed little sign of damage.
"Lady Oracle... has long been awaiting you. Please, come in." The Crocodile Dragon said with a smug burp.
Seeing this, Orson stared blankly, checking the stats of this gigantic creature that almost filled the training grounds.
