Isekai Journey Of The Magic Archer

Chapter 937 Concluding the presentation

[Eon's POV: ]

{ "And with that, I would like to move on to the conclusion of this presentation…" }

I was done telling all that I wanted to tell to the people present here.

I was done with the five main sections of the presentation that I needed to present before the rest of them.

I was also done making the necessary impact on all the people that were present here right now.

'Now, they knew who the evil demonic cultists were.'

They knew what actually transpired in the capital city of Lakmer, they knew how powerful those forces were and how great the power they possessed was. They even knew how we dealt with them, and now… my powers, knowledge, and skills were exposed before the rest of them.

'But that does not matter anymore.'

The enemy we all face is smart, they are strong, and they are also unfathomable even from all the perspectives.

{ "If everyone wants, we shall take a break." }

I was on this stage along with Rein for the last thirty nine hours now, talking, discussing things with the rest of them, telling them what we should do, answering their questions, explaining and elaborating things.

There were so many things that all of us here needed to do that the place had almost fallen quiet when I asked them if they wanted a break.

They were tired and they were exhausted. There was almost not much they needed to talk about anymore, and after all the talk since the past few hours, I was done with all the explanations, answers, and elaborations as well.

And from the looks of it… they don't want to drag the conference any more than it already has.

{ "Then, I will say the last bits of what I want to say." }

Nine days…

Even with the way we continued with only a few short breaks, even when I went on with a much faster pace than we initially predicted, even with the merged sections that were going on since the last day and a half…

Even with all that, the conference that should not have gone on more than a week, was stretched to nine whole days.

And, by the time they get back to their positions, almost one more day should have passed…

'This was a long conference.'

We had been on this stage for almost a week ourselves. Something I don't think has happened many times in the past.

The conference was set in a way that it concluded as quickly as it can, and aside from the special times, it mostly ended within a week's time.

Sometimes when there are some environmental or individual problems, that is when the conference is prolonged more than anyone present here wants to.

'It should be pretty rare for all of them to stick around for so long just to listen and understand a presentation on something that may or may not affect the entire world's fate depending on what They do.'

[{ "I wanna sleep…" }]

[{ "And I wanna go back…" }]

This was a lot more exhausting for us than any of them might understand.

{ "Personally, I don't want any of us to engage with them." }

What Rein was doing didn't just need some knowledge and proficiency. It was a mentally exhausting work that was using her Mana as well as a great amount of her total energy.

She was using her Mana, her Aura, her witch powers, and even her origin energy in the pross.

It was just as exhausting as my usage of mental stamina to run all the simulations that were going on all around us.

{ "I don't want to fight them, I don't want to destroy them, and I don't even want them to know that we know about them… but, that will not be possible." }

They were sitting there in those comfortable places, listening, thinking, questioning, observing. So, they should have figured out how difficult this was for us.

'The reason we were functioning so decently right now was mostly thanks to the potions and the special food that we ate in between the break time, but all of that had its limits.'

We were sleep deprived, we were exhausted, we wanted to sleep, and now that all of it had almost come to a conclusion, we also wanted to go back home and sleep for a few days straight.

'That is the only way we would be able to function well for the rest of our break days.'

Academy will start soon, and along with it, a lot of things will change.

We were facing a great problem, and to counter this great problem, the world would need to change the way things were going on right now.

There was not a lot that we could do about all this, but, for the people around us right now, the powerful people around us, things were different.

{ "After knowing all of this, after bearing the burden of this knowledge, I understand many of us would want to just forget about all of this and continue as things were going on until now." }

Truthfully, until we found out all of this about these people, our lives were quite peaceful.

There was no great tension. We did not have to worry about looking around and knowing the people that we think are close to us, people that we can rely on, are in fact someone that will become the spark of destruction for all of us.

{ "The mere fact that there is someone from that evil cult around us is terrifying." }

Some whose spouse was connected with those evil cultists would never be able to see them the same way they had been until now.

They would not leave their backs to their closest guards on the battlefield.

They would be afraid to go out in the public, among the very people that they had the duty to protect.

All the information they had right now, all this knowledge will most certainly result in great distress. And even after knowing what, they will undoubtedly make mistakes.

{ "I don't want anyone to do anything to these demonic cultists." }

At least, that was what I wanted.

But just because I wanted it, it did not mean they would do it.

'Now that they all knew how they could deal with the cultists around them, the chances that they would listen to my wish and not do anything were pretty slim.'

But, they understood how our lack of attention to them for a long enough period would cause them problems as well since, however much we don't want the world to turn into a dark decaying mess, they also want to destroy the world.

And their desire for destruction is much greater than their desire for the world to end up in a dark state.

{ "We don't really have to provoke them, we don't have to act any different to them even if we know what they are, I understand it will not be easy for most of us, but this is what is needed to be done." }

We cannot enforce anything upon them.

They are smart people so they will find a way to work around the problems, and that is where the world changes will come into picture.

'It will not happen simultaneously worldwide. But it will happen throughout the world.'

Some laws will be created that will somehow be connected with these cultists, some regulations will be created that will hinder the greater powers of the world, and at the end, it will also affect places where people from all over the world gather.

'It will be impossible to hide the fact that there was a grand conference and things were talked about between the great powers.'

From as much as we knew the enemy, we knew they would catch up to the fact that their existence had been revealed to these world representatives.

And yet, what if they do not receive any response from us?

'They were expecting something like minor conflicts at the very least. They wanted to spark a fire and then turn it into a wildfire so that they could light up the rest of the world.'

That was their plan, perhaps.

And this grand plan of theirs would be ruined if there is no response– which will not be possible on as deep a level as I need it to be for my strategy to work.

Not that I know if it will even work or not.

{ "Doing nothing is better than doing something sometimes." }

That was my last statement.

{ "Thank you all for enduring through this long, and tiresome presentation." }

I looked back, Rein turned off the devices and came to me, and as the grand hall returned back to its original state, we bowed together to these important people who would be the one doing the actually important things going forward.

The presentation and our role here was concluded. Now, most of it was up to them.

"Good work."

"You too, dear."

We were done now, so we prepared to walk down the stage. All the things present, all the drones throughout the conference hall, and all these things on stage had been here for the last few days, but now that we were done with everything, it was time for them to go back to the cold storage space.

'I was not expecting any applause or cheers or thanks or something like that from the rest of them. The atmosphere here was already complicated after my last words so they were fine in their places.'

We knew there would not be any great response from most of them, but at least, the same was not going to be true for a few of them.

-Clap! Clap! Clap!

"Well done, baby~."

"You were wonderful, Elle~!"

Especially our mothers.

The two of them were at the forefront of whatever little appreciation we were going to get for all that we did on this stage.

-Whoooooo!

-Clap! Clap! Clap!

We finished wrapping things up while smiling joyfully at the little bits of appreciation. And when we were about to walk down the stage, the headmaster approached us.

"You did well…"

He seemed proud. There was a unique bright smile on his face, and along with it, there was something more.

"If I can have your attention, everyone."

Something that we knew nothing about until now…
