Who was Kaido?
Anyone who knew him would say this about him:
Moody, vicious, and cunning.
Today, someone dared to tell Kaido in his face to become an underling for someone else.
Even if that someone was Uchiha Madara- a fast-rising powerhouse in the seas-it was enough to shock everyone present.
Quinn whimpered, retreating to the background, muttering to himself.
"It's over... it's over... Kaido-sama is going to explode this time."
As expected, Kaido's eyes widened, and rage ignited within them.
"Uchiha Madara? I'm going to flatten your head today, and drink sake over your dead body!"
A massive mace appeared in Kaido's hand, wrapped in jet-black haki.
At the same time, his Conqueror's Haki erupted in full force.
The crowd, no strangers to the dangers of the battlefield, were not weaklings.
Even the weakest among them boasted a bounty of hundreds of millions.
Yet, in the face of a furious Kaido, they scattered like leaves in a storm.
Nobody wanted to be caught in the collateral damage.
A Clash of Titans.
"Is that all you've got?" Madara stood unaffected, his expression steeped in disdain. "Do you think one of the so-called Four Emperors is qualified to talk to me like this?"
Madara's hands formed seals with lightning speed.
Moments later, he summoned his iconic round fan into his hand.
"Kaido of the Beasts, who do you think you're talking to?"
BOOM!
Madara's Conqueror's Haki exploded outward, colliding with Kaido's in a destructive clash.
The sheer force generated a shockwave, obliterating buildings across the Flower Capital. Thanks to prior evacuations, the civilians had fled, narrowly escaping the devastation. Still, the aftermath of the confrontation left a path of ruin in its wake.
Komurasaki, protected by Kyoshiro, looked on at the chaos with a glimmer of hope in her
eyes.
"Even if he's not the one my mother predicted, as long as he can save Wano, anyone will do!" "Komurasaki-sama, please don't set your hopes too high," Kyoshiro muttered, his tone laced with concern. He had heard her muttering.
"After all, that's Kaido."
Deep inside, Kyoshiro held no optimism about Madara's chances.
The fear Kaido had instilled in Wano over the years was too deeply rooted.
Not to mention, they held firm faith in the prophecy:
[Like the Moon, you are ignorant of the Dawn. If there is one ardent wish that must be fulfilled, it will be when nine shadows are cast woven together through twenty years of moonlit nights. Only then shall you understand the radiance of Dawn.]
However, if Madara were to hear them he would just scoff and ignore them.
Ever since being deceived by Black Zetsu for most of his life, Madara despised the very idea of fate or prophecy.
"If anyone dares to talk to me about destiny, I'll show them who truly controls fate!"
Kaido brandished his mace, lightning coursing along its surface, his voice a thunderous roar:
"Do you think defeating a few small-time pirates means you can challenge me?!"
"Thunder Bagua!"
Kaido's might was immense.
In his mind, there were no worthy challengers among the Marines, Supernovas, or bounty hunters.
Only the other Four Emperors were his equals.
Facing the towering behemoth, Madara remained unshaken.
With a faint smirk, he darted forward, deflecting Kaido's mace with his fan.
"The Four Emperors? I've fought better. Compared to that red-haired fool, your Haki is laughable!"
The mention of Shanks-a name tied to Kaido's many failures-only stoked his fury.
The next swing of Kaido's mace came down with even greater ferocity.
But Madara countered seamlessly, the fan's rebounding power hurling Kaido into the rubble.
*Boom*
Kaido, caught off guard, crashed hard into the ruins.
Madara scoffed as he observed the chaos Kaido had caused himself.
"How pathetic. Is this what passes for power in this world? A beast with no brain, no skill-
just brute strength. And yet you call yourself an Emperor?"
Kaido's raw power was undeniable, but to Madara-who viewed combat as an art-it was
laughable.
Kaido's mace-wielding was clumsy, lacking finesse.
Suddenly, the rubble exploded as Kaido emerged unscathed, his anger boiling over.
"You dare mock me, you lowly pirate?!"
The two clashed once more, Madara relying on his round fan and his fighting skills.
Despite Kaido's overwhelming strength, Madara's agility kept him one step ahead, landing calculated blows that even Kaido had to begrudgingly respect.
This led Kaido to adopt his hybrid form, which in turn provided more speed and more power. However, Madara remained ever-quick and delivered precise strikes that targeted every weak point.
Kaido's famed durability allowed him to shrug off most attacks, and his recovery was nothing short of monstrous.
However, Madara's Conqueror-infused strikes soon began to wear him down.
Frustration mounting, Kaido decided to change tactics.
Transforming into his dragon form, he soared into the skies, lightning, and flames trailing
behind him.
As Kaido coiled through the stormy skies, his voice thundered with rage:
"If I can't crush you, I'll destroy you along with everything!"
From the clouds, Kaido unleashed a devastating move, flames and lightning converging as he
roared:
"Fire Dragon Great Torch"
The fire dragon tore through the sky, heading straight for Madara.
For the first time, Madara straightened, his expression serious.
"Now this... this is interesting."
As Kaido's attack approached, Madara's blue Susanoo erupted to life, towering over the
battlefield.
Armed with the Yasaka Magatama, Madara charged directly into the fiery assault.
"Let's see who truly reigns supreme!"
*BOOM!*
