Leveling with the Regressor in Apocalypse

Chapter 27: 27: I just borrowed it

Chapter 27: 27: I just borrowed it

"That is your idea?"

Seojin scratched the back of his head, looking at Lee Taehyung who was sitting inside a Hover Car that they had seen previously.

"If you don't like my idea, you are always welcome to walk." Lee Taehyung sarcastically responded. "But I don't think those Vampires will clear the path for you."

"Who says I don't like the idea?"

Seojin ran towards the Hover Car. If anything, he would have done the same thing.

There was only one thing that surprised him about this. He was told that only the Higher Vampires were using Hover Cars in the city.

If that wasn't the case, why would he not have thought about stealing one? He just did not want to bring a High Vampire on their tail so soon.

Lee Taehyung opened the passenger side of the door, and Seojin quickly jumped in, closing the door behind him.

"How did you steal one?" he asked the most important question.

Lee Taehyung shrugged. "I did not steal it. I just borrowed it."

"..."

After a moment of silence, Seojin asked, "When you borrowed it... Please tell me the owner wasn't around?"

"He wasn't around when I did it, but he did see me when I was leaving."

"Will he come to kill us?"

"Will he? He is already coming," Lee Taehyung pointed in the back. "If we stay here, he will be here in two minutes at most."

Seojin turned around, and noticed a powerful aura approaching them. The speed was much faster than a Beginner Vampire.

It was too late to regret now. They were already in this mess, so he could only go with the flow.

"Let's go. We don't have time to wait for the third passenger," Seojin said, as he sat in comfort.

The car was truly much more comfortable than the most luxurious cars in his era. It was truly a marvel of engineering.

He could see that in the front dashboard, there was a holographic screen that stretched out seamlessly, displaying various information about the surroundings.

It was like nothing he had ever seen before. There were a lot of features in this car, including an option to search for information on the current era's internet.

Seojin started checking things in the holographic screen while the car began moving forward.

The speed of the car was much faster than even bullet trains of the 21st century, yet it was perfectly stable.

Inside the car, it couldn't even be felt that the car was going fast. It was a smooth and comfortable ride, making him feel like he was gliding effortlessly through time and space.

As the car sped through the city, Seojin couldn't help but marvel at the advancements of this era.

The buildings whizzed past, their sleek and futuristic designs a stark contrast to the chaos and destruction caused by the vampire horde.

As they were in the Hover Car that could only be used by High Vampires, no one tried to stop them either.

It was especially the case for New Vampires who had limited intelligence. Along the way, the car was not attacked. However, they did fly past other Hover Cars which were carrying High Vampires.

Fortunately, no one noticed two humans travelling in. Hover Car.

As they approached the city centre, the scenery began to change. The buildings became taller and more extravagant, with shimmering glass facades reflecting the sunlight.

The streets were wider and lined with lush greenery, giving the area a more serene and luxurious atmosphere.

Along the way, Seojin tried to use the Internet in the car. The first thing he did was search the year 2075 to understand what actually happened.

He searched the names of his family members from that era, only to find out that all of them had died in the Apocalypse.

He next searched the hospital where he was staying. It was the place where he had died after being hit by a Meteorite.

[Haeyundae General Hospital was established by Li Chongzun in 1998. It was destroyed in 2075 after being hit by a Meteorite. According to reports, only three people survived inside the Hospital when it was destroyed]

Seojin tried to search for the names of the survivors, slight hope igniting in his heart.

[Error: No further information available about the Survivors can be accessed. The Information has been restricted]

Seojin frowned at the response. Why would information about the three survivors be restricted out of nowhere?

It would have made sense if the system had said that no information was available. So many people died at that time, so it would have made sense that such specific information was not available.

But the response was clearly different. Someone had restricted that information for some reason. Was there something special about the incident at the hospital? Or was it related to the survivors?

Lee Taehyung occasionally looked at Seojin, who wasn't looking good. He was wondering about the reason.

Unfortunately, he could not see the information that Seojin was accessing as per the privacy protocols of the Hover Car.

Only the person who accessed the information could see it, unless he permitted others.

"We will be reaching the City Center in less than a minute. Get ready to get down"

Seojin nodded and closed the information system. Now was not the time to be distracted, especially since he was in the midst of more powerful Vampires.

After almost a minute, Lee Taehyung stopped the Car. He opened the door. Nôv(el)B\\jnn

"Get down."

"Are you not coming? Don't tell me you want to look for parking?"

"Not quite. I'm just going to return what I borrowed since the person is quite eager to take it back."

"Be quick."

Seojin did not ask any more questions. He got down the car, landing in the central area of the city, which was like a different world in itself.

Meanwhile, Lee Taehyung swiftly executed a U-turn, deftly manoeuvring the car. He accelerated with precise control, propelling the vehicle through the air.

Once the car reached its maximum speed, he skillfully unlatched the doors and jumped out, allowing the car to continue its trajectory unhindered, without a driver to stop it.
