Neurolink System in the Modern World

Chapter 377 Multilayered

"Let's go now," Zely declared, and they soared higher into the sky, carrying my mother away.

I felt a sharp pang of pain in my heart, aching as I watched them, my hands reaching out involuntarily, to bridge the growing distance that separated us so soon.

However, I knew I had to calm down and trust my mother. Surely, she had a plan of her own.

At the very least, she was safe for now with the old man and my copycat by her side.

'You better get out of here too,' Zely warned. She then raised her arms, and just like my astral projection, they were enveloped in a circular blue energy.

BOOOOOOOOM!

The energy ball zoomed through the air with a loud explosion, leaving a bright trail behind. It was super fast, breaking the sound barrier in an instant. There was no way a regular human-made Jet plane could catch up to it.

'My peaceful days are numbered,' I sighed to myself while watching them vanish on the horizon. I was pretty sure that today would mark a pivotal point in human history.

The question was, what should I do?

I turned around and pushed that question to the back of my mind for now. First, I had to check on my girls.

THUD

I landed on the ground and told them to come out. With the danger gone, they didn't need to hide anymore.

"Are we going to escape this place?" Bing Da asked with a frightened face after seeing all the dead bodies on the floor.

"No need for that," someone answered her, but it was not from my real body; instead, it came from an old man around the age of 60.

He was wearing a black coat, but his clothing was much more refined and futuristic. There were silver patterns on the laces and sleeves of his coat, and an insignia indicating that he was not just anyone.

He was the Head Director of this branch and had total control over the entire base.

Why was he here?

Simple. With Dr. Han's help, I was able to disable all the defense mechanisms of the entire place and force him to come out. Then I shared my Mind Power with Dr. Han and influenced all the key personnel.

Unlike my stupid copycat ,I actually think things through 100 steps ahead.

"Do we need to worry about anyone from other branches ?" I asked the Head director.

"You don't have to worry, Master. They won't be able to figure it out. All the footage was deleted. We can just blame all of it on the invaders," he replied with a confident smile

"Good job, now let's head back. I need to do something," I commanded.

"As you wish, Master."

Aiku and the rest looked at me with reverence; Shocked to know that all this time I had been playing a multi-layered game.

Back at the base , I sealed myself off in my room to go and check the changes in my system .

Looking closely, I found my race name: "The Architects."n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

It sounded strange, and I never heard it before.

'Did my system change my race?' I wondered. The idea of my system turning me into a completely different species wasn't far-fetched, considering how powerful and flexible it was.

Unfortunately, I did not have any sufficient data about this race. I tried accessing the database of this branch, and even they did not have any records.

Experience new stories on empire

But one thing was for sure, my new rating was base with this particular race. That might be the reason why most of my stats got a 'D+'

With that being the only intriguing discovery, I started formulating my next plan. I connected to internet of this place, and directly linked to a private satellite.

My Advanced Map tracker was more flexible than before and could seamlessly integrate with my Mind Computer.

After securing a connection, I tried searching for my mother's whereabouts. It was a good thing that I put a marker on her so I could pinpoint her location.

It was just an experiment I had in mind, but I did not expect the result to be so satisfactory. In my vision right now was a holographic Earth, and I could see her location with ease.

"They're in Seoul?" I raised my eyebrows. I had assumed they would hide somewhere far or in hard-to-reach places, but they had actually come to Seoul.

"Fuckers, don't tell me that they're planning to set up base there?" I clicked my tongue in annoyance. The world was so big, and yet they chose my home turf?

"Don't you dare do something stupid in my city, or I'll take you all out before you even get a chance to show yourself to the world," I sneered in frustration.

All of my girls are living in Seoul, and those Zol guys just made that place one of the most dangerous cities in the world.

No wonder my system wanted me to take down a Zol Clan member; maybe it knew they were trouble.

I leaned on my chair and touched my nose, I was getting headache just thinking about this issue.

The Zol Clan had become my personal problem because we conflicted in interest. Unlike me, those people looked like they were ready to wage war and go all out.

They didn't even bother hiding their attacks, flaunting their power to the world.

'Wait, did anyone post the attack here?' I thought to myself.

I connected with the internet and the database of the base to see if some vlogger wannabe had posted the event that happened here. With social media today, one video could potentially create a chain reaction.

Thankfully, I did not find any.

As expected, they immediately cut off the information for all the Jeju Island residents.

It was standard protocol .They even canceled all flights in and out. Everyone had no Internet service or cellphone signal, except for the base with a direct connection to one of the satellites.

Well, at least now the world won't go into too much panic.

Imagine seeing people flying and lifting small mountains. That would surely make everyone think it's the end of the world.

Then they would blame human greed, saying it's the reason for the punishment. It's a reaction I've seen in many end-of-the-world movies.

[Master, the representative from Shanghai is here,] The head of director emailed me .

There was no risk of this email being leaked because I already have full control of the entire base.

"Let them in"
