Chapter 392 *Title Hidden*

So strong!

Altaria’s mother hadn’t been fighting at full strength earlier. Though this wasn’t the first time the two Altaria had battled, this was the first time Terrance had seen the battle reach this point.

“Disarming Voice…”

Terrance’s heart was in turmoil, but suppressing his astonishment, he continued to command Altaria to press the attack.

In terms of talent, Altaria is more talented than its mother, exemplifying the saying “the student surpasses the master.” In just over three years under Terrance’s training, it had caught up. For a wild Pokémon holding the title of Mt. Chimney’s overlord, this was a bitter pill to swallow.

How much effort and time did it take to achieve such strength?

It wasn’t just effort; there were also many opportunities. According to Terrance’s conservative estimate, overlord Altaria is at least twenty years old!n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

Dragon Pulse!

Taking advantage of the overlord Altaria’s injuries, Altaria unleashed Dragon Pulse, bravely following up with a massive energy claw, ready to deliver a high-speed, relentless onslaught.

Although surprised by the power of Draco Meteor, the overlord Altaria refused to back down easily, waving its wings to fight back with all its might.

In the aftermath of the shockwaves of energy, Mt. Chimney suffered serious damage. Seeing this, Terrance’s mouth twitched. In this battle, they didn’t care at all about the impact on the surrounding area, only focused on enjoying the fight to the fullest, almost to the point of forgetting themselves.

Terrance glanced up. The battle had already lasted five minutes.

Although five minutes seemed short, they had clashed countless times.

Both Altaria and its mother bore many injuries.

The battle was already reaching the end.

However, Terrance could see that neither side was willing to back down—they were both determined to fight at full strength.

“Dragon Rush!!”

Terrance’s pupils contracted as the massive, terrifying energy of Dragon Rush collided with the opponent’s Sky Attack. The resulting impact sent shockwaves, and at that moment, it felt as though the entire Mt. Chimney was about to crack apart.

He gaped slightly. Dragon Rush, Draco Meteor, Dragon Claw, Dragon Pulse, Dragon Breath…

These were Altaria’s proudest and strongest five moves.

However, its mother, despite demonstrating a Dragon Claw with considerable power earlier, has only been using moves of other types throughout the fight. 𝙧АNꝋ฿Ёś

The frigid, shining blue beam of Ice Beam frequently restricted Altaria’s movements. The terrifying power of Sky Attack, into which she seemed to have poured countless efforts. And that eerie soundwave—a mysterious move akin to a hurricane, carrying immense destructive power. That move left the deepest impression on Terrance.

This impression lingered until the very end of the battle, when Terrance finally confirmed his suspicion.

The bright moonlight poured down from the sky as Altaria, bathed in countless rays of light, formed an enormous energy claw in a desperate resistance. Despite the discomfort caused by the energy waves it endured, it let out a loud cry and clashed against the opposing force.

Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom!

Terrance noticed a weakness and quickly ordered, “The move’s power isn’t strong—break through it and immediately suppress it with Dragon Claw!”

Altaria’s sharp battle instincts picked up on Terrance’s intent. With all its strength, it shattered the moonlight-like move and resisted the shockwave on the other side. It then formed a Dragon Claw and swung it toward the overlord Altaria, who had just released the move.

“Alt~aria~~~~~~~~~~”

“Alt~aria~~~~~~~~~~”

Two cries echoed through the air, and the eyes of the two Pokémon glimmered brightly. Though they were both covered in wounds by this point, the spirit they displayed and the mutual respect earned were the most valuable reward of the battle.

The flames around Dragon Claw grew fiercer, spreading across Altaria’s entire body. Mid-flight, Altaria transitioned into Dragon Rush state, strengthening the already overwhelming Dragon Claw. The two moves collided head-on as overlord Altaria swung its massive green claw in response.

With a deafening sound of collison, the two figures were sent flying backward.

However, one of the figures quickly regained balance, albeit with difficulty, managing to stabilize its flight.

On the other side, the other figure crashed straight into a boulder before coming to a stop.

“It won,” Terrance murmured, though he saw something deeper.

He looked toward Altaria, who was overjoyed by its victory, and smiled inwardly while shaking his head. A child is still just a child—didn’t it understand the other side’s efforts?

“Alt~aria~~~~~~”

“Alt~aria~~~~~~”

The overlord Altaria weakly flapped its wings, brushing off the rubble on its body. Its breathing was unsteady, and it closed its eyes to rest.

Seeing this, Terrance immediately climbed down the rough mountainside.

He had come fully prepared, bringing enough high-quality Potions—ones so expensive that ordinary Trainers would find it hard to acquire them.

He would treat Altaria’s mother first!

Without hesitation, Terrance rushed towards it. Although both Pokémon had fought with all their strength during the battle, the overlord Altaria had treated Altaria like a child from start to finish.

Whether it was Ice Beam, Sky Attack, or the many other moves it used throughout the battle, they were all moves Altaria itself had never used before.

“And then there’s Disarming Voice and Moonblast…” Terrance muttered to himself.

Clearly, these moves were far less skilled than Ice Beam and not very familiar, yet they were still displayed in the battle. Overlord Altaria’s intention was quite obvious. By using moves that its child was not good at, or couldn’t even use, Overlord Altaria not only demonstrated its own strength as a mother but also wanted to teach Altaria.

Terrance’s training for Altaria had focused solely on amplifying its Dragon-type talent. Moves in other areas, such as the Ice Beam it learned from its mother, were neither meticulously practiced nor prioritized.

‘I see!’, Terrance thought to himself.

Terrance began to understand the overlord Altaria’s intentions. Altaria’s Dragon-type moves had already developed their own unique style. Even as its mother, the overlord Altaria could no longer find areas where it could teach Altaria anything new. The only advantage it still held was the experience accumulated over many years in using other types of moves, along with the insights gained throughout its growth.

Thus, it even demonstrated the two Fairy-type moves that it wasn’t much proficient with. The purpose was to broaden Altaria’s horizons, showing it the hidden potential it possessed. Even though its child had already surpassed it, it still wished to teach Altaria everything it had left to give.

…..

…..

By the time Kotoko climbed Mt. Chimney, the battle’s tremors had already ceased.

As she made her way up, her astonishment grew with each step. What on earth had happened here to cause such a commotion?

Finally, she spotted a familiar figure, and her calm expression shifted slightly. “Why are you here?”

Seeing Terrance spraying what appeared to be a healing spray on two Altaria, she said, “Were you the one battling here just now?”

“Kotoko…” Upon seeing who it was, Terrance put down the healing spray. Someone was drawn in by the aftermath of the battle…?

However, when encountering this kind of situation, wouldn’t a normal person typically steer clear of the area? Should I say Sister Kotoko is too curious, or…?

Staring at her and the Beedrill flying behind her—which was clearly ready for both defense and offense—Terrance found himself asking this question for the first time.

“Sister Kotoko, where exactly have you been all these years?”

At that moment, even the thought of asking about Fairy-type moves had been pushed aside.

No matter how he looked at it, Kotoko’s demeanor didn’t seem like that of an ordinary Trainer.
