Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 327 Seats

Without a doubt, the conductor Yaren had purposely made such an arrangement.

Aside from the preliminary test, there was an additional test for everyone.

And that was to test whether they had the strength to snatch a seat for themselves.

Once Yaren took the seat in the center, her next words confirmed everyone's assumption. "The test will begin in 5 minutes from now. Those who don't have a seat are disqualified and may exit the section."

Instantaneously, the contestants started rushing toward an empty seat, with some resorting to violence on the spot. As for those who managed to take a seat, they were knocked away by another person.

"How dare you take my seat?"

"Hmph, you are courting death!"

Chaos erupted in Section B, but this wasn't the only section alone as every other section was having the same scenario.

As for the audience who were watching through a large screen, they were initially stunned by this new arrangement.

However, their astonishment soon turned into excitement as nearly everyone started cheering for the sudden development.

"Hahaha, Paradise Plains has done it again!"

"Who would have thought they made such an arrangement in this competition?"

"This is amazing! I don't have to sit through the boring preliminary round like last time and see the contestants actually fight for a seat."

While the audience was going frantic, the Emcee on the stage held a sly smile.

"Fellow audience, to increase excitement and ensure a satisfying viewership, our Paradise Plains introduced this new rule to hopefully revitalize everyone's attention." The Emcee spread his arms and explained to those who remained confused.

"Additionally, betting is now available and you may bet how many people could advance from this mini-test." He continued, pointing at a booth that some employees started to carry out.

There were many possible betting options and different betting had variations in terms of payout.

"Hahaha, I'm betting that the majority of them are going to be beaten black and blue without getting a seat!"

"Heh, those from the weaker Profession are going to be fighting like chickens. They go bawk bawk."

"Hey, who knows if that is going to be true? I see some hot ladies in some sections. Maybe they can go Hawk Tuah on something to get a seat."

"You're one disgusting shit… but I like that!"

As some of the audience began to speak vulgarly and more unruly, Carmen frowned slightly.

'These men are really good for nothing.' She thought to herself.

While Carmen was disgusted by some of the NPCs in the audience, she turned her attention back to Section B.

Currently, Section B was embroiled in chaos, with many blacksmith contestants bringing out their gears and equipment to gain an advantage.

"Take this!" One of the contestants sneered and launched a claw-like device.

Upon launching, the claw extended to a steel-like knife and stabbed right into the chest of another person.

The unlucky person bled and plopped to the ground, unable to move.

However, no one was worried about it, given that healers and supporters provided by the Paradise Plains organizer promptly appeared to give medical aid.

Their healing abilities were extremely efficient and smooth, but once they had made a move, the contestants themselves were considered disqualified.

After all, they failed to obtain a seat with their ability and in the end, required their assistance to retain their life.

Amidst the chaos though, only two people remained still in the back, keeping a safe distance from the chaotic fight.

"Are you not planning on snatching a seat for yourself?" Crimson Heart mused when she noticed Xu Feng not making a move.

"Aren't you the same?" Xu Feng shot the question back to her.

"I'm not strong like these NPCs." Crimson Heart shrugged. "Instead of fighting early on, I might as well reserve my strength and target an exhausted folk."

Smiling, Xu Feng had the same idea as her. He was slightly surprised by this arrangement, but it wasn't enough to cloud his judgment.

Those who make a move first are always bound to be eliminated first.

Not to mention, Conductor Yaren never said anything about obtaining a seat meant they were safe and sound. All she said was there were 5 minutes left until the start of the preliminary test.

This specific statement alone was already a massive hint for them.

However, clearly, these contestants were too dumb to comprehend Yaren's actual meaning and went all out for a seat, only to get eliminated by another one in the process.

By the time the 4-minute mark had gone past, the battle for a seat had intensified immediately.

And at this time, Xu Feng dashed toward a target he had chosen beforehand.

Similarly, Crimson Heart rushed ahead as well, having decided hers.

While Xu Feng went to the left side, Crimson Heart went to the right side, almost as if they had silently made an agreement to not interfere with each other.

"Sorry, but this seat is mine," Crimson Heart sneered coldly at an almost exhausted contestant who had fought off four people by themselves to retain their seat.

"Hmph, want to be the mantis that stalks the cicada?" The exhausted contestant laughed menacingly. "Unfortunately, for you, I'm not a cicada but an oriole!"

"Yeah, okay oriole." Crimson Heart snided and retrieved a scroll. With the appearance of the scroll, the exhausted contestant's laughter paused midway.

"F-Fuck, you are cheating!" They exclaimed, having recognized the scroll as a Tier 3 offensive scroll.

Alas, no matter how unfair they exclaimed, the Tier 3 offensive scroll was activated and they were blasted away, crashing to the wall.

As their body plopped to the ground, the exhausted contestants were unconscious already, and blood started seeping out from every pore.

Some thought Crimson Heart only had that one Tier 3 offensive scroll and attempted to be an oriole as well.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

However, they quickly changed their mind when she casually retrieved another two scrolls.

"I wonder who wants to join another unconscious fellow." Crimson Heart yawned, her eyes gazing at those who wanted to sneak attack earlier.

When her gaze met them, those contestants turned away and searched for another weaker contestant to fight.

'Bunch of cowards.' Crimson Heart inwardly sneered, turning her attention to Xu Feng.

Much to her surprise though, she saw him calmly sitting down, his legs crossed and waving at her, almost as if he had been waiting for a while.
