Strongest Spirit Beast Master Family

Chapter 277 Greed

"Take what you can, give nothing back. Now, it's finally time to repay the favor," Blaze Regret muttered as he quickly finished off the bright red fruit, tossing the pit into the distance. He then recalled the Rock horn Dragon Rhinoceros, mounted the Red, and set off toward the Walker family estate.

A faint yellow streak of light blurred through the mountains as he rode swiftly.

At the Bloodstone Pass, in front of the Walker family gates, a group of young men with mocking expressions surrounded Walker Adam, who stood with determination. Beside him, a woman of striking beauty glared at him in anger.

"I'll say it again: the Walker family will not pay tribute anymore!" Walker Adam declared fearlessly, staring down the young men, who bore the insignia of the Stun family on their chests. His firm words echoed with conviction.

"Did I hear that right? Since when does the young master of the walker family dare speak to us like that?" The youths burst into laughter. Although they weren't of high status within their own clan, mocking the Walker family's young master gave them a twisted sense of superiority.

"Walker Adam, have you lost your mind? Do you want to bring disaster upon our Walker family?" Walker Nani scolded him angrily. Paying the tribute would ensure peace for another month why not take the easy route? For her, survival was paramount, no matter the means.

"Sister, are you really content to watch as the Walker family, once on par with the Blood Seal Gate, is trampled by a second rate power?" Walker Adam felt a pang of sadness. The Stun family, who used to treat him with respect, now dared to insult him openly.

Sometimes, he would rather be beaten to death than endure such humiliation.

"Dwelling on the past is nothing but a joke."

Walker Nani shook her head in pity, then snapped, "A few days ago, you and some stranger injured the young master of the Blood Seal Gate. Such audacity! After we pay the tribute, you're coming with me to the Blood Seal Gate to beg for forgiveness!"

Walker Adam stared at Walker Nani, his mouth slightly open but no words came out. Did he hear her right? Despite Silver Ray and Silver Van being the initial aggressors, his own sister wanted him to bow and apologize?

"Regret it now, do you?" Stun Qistin stood at a distance, glaring venomously at Walker Adam. She silently vowed that if he dared to go to the Blood Seal Gate, she would make him wish for death.

"By the way, where's that boy who was with you?"

Stun Tuah, the young man leading the group, picked his ear as he watched the drama unfold with amusement. Mentioning Blaze Regret made Walker Nani's expression quickly darken.

As Stun Tuah finished speaking, Walker Adam couldn't help but internally roll his eyes. If Blaze Regret really appeared here, these people wouldn't even have the chance to mock him. They would likely be knocked to the ground before uttering a few words.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

"Yes, where is that kid? Quickly bring him here. Maybe the Stun Family might show some mercy and spare his life," Stun Qistin said coldly to Walker Adam. Although she had already see how Silver Van's defeat at Blaze Regret's hands, she didn't believe it at all. She couldn't think of any reason other than a fluke victory.

"No, apologies won't work. We must skin him alive to quell our young lady's anger," Stun Tuah glanced at Stun Qistin and said sinisterly.

"Yes, he must die!" Several other members of the Stun Family chimed in, their faces displaying arrogant expressions as if they held Blaze Regret's life and death in their hands.

"Sis, trust me, with Brother Blaze's strength, even if Stun Zen came, he wouldn't gain any advantage," Walker Adam said anxiously, trying hard to persuade Walker Nani. He knew his elder sister's temper very well, and if she angered Blaze Regret and he didn't help, it would be trouble.

"Haha, did I hear that right? A nobody from who knows where can be compared to our family head? It's utterly laughable!" Stun Tuah burst into laughter, and the other Stun Family members laughed heartily, thinking it was the funniest joke they'd heard all year.

"Walker Adam, what are you thinking! That kid is nothing but a fraud, possibly even wanting to harm our Walker family. How could you believe him? It's hopeless!" Walker Nani glared at Walker Adam in disappointment. In her mind, Blaze Regret was already a villain.

Looking anxiously into the distance, Walker Adam turned back, about to say something, when Stun Tuah lost all patience.

"Hurry up and pay this month's tribute. I'm not in the mood to chat with you," Stun Tuah said coldly, frowning.

"Alright, no problem," Walker Nani nodded repeatedly and quickly handed over a gold card. Stun Tuah's eyes lit up as he took it, even taking advantage in the process.

Unexpectedly, Walker Nani didn't show the slightest anger; instead, she wore a smiling face, which made Walker Adam feel hopeless inside. He suddenly had the urge to escape from this family.

Besides him, it seemed like all the members of the Stun Family had already compromised. Even his father stayed behind closed doors all day, drowning in alcohol, and his sister went even further, fawning over the oppressors.

"That's not enough. Walker Adam still has a 150,000 gold coin card. I saw it a few days ago at the black market," Stun Qistin suddenly spoke up, her smile malicious.

"150,000 gold coins?" Stun Tuah's eyes immediately gleamed with greed upon hearing this. If Walker Adam indeed had such an amount, it would be an unexpected windfall that they wouldn't need to hand over to the family, allowing them to distribute it among themselves. Of course, Stun Qistin would take the largest share.

Even so, the other Stun Family members looked at Walker Adam with fiery eyes, eager to tear him apart.
