Supreme Casanova: Ultimate Harem System

Chapter 114 Built Different.

Lily stood there, shifting nervously, her fingers fidgeting with the hem of her hoodie like it held the answers to all her problems.

Her face was red—so red, in fact, that Hugo wondered if she might just explode. This was the reddest he had ever seen it.

It wasn't even as red as this after they kissed!

She sighed deeply, as if she was gathering all the courage she had left in her body. Her breasts rose and fell with the effort.

Hugo wasn't looking or anything. He was far too busy for that...

"Do you… remember our first date?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper and filled with uncertainty.

Hugo raised an eyebrow, keeping his face as cold as a glacier. On the outside, he looked like he couldn't care less. On the inside? Pure chaos.

'Our first date? Why's she bringing that up now? Is this some kind of trap? Is she trying to remind me of all the good times before dropping the hammer on me? Is this her way of saying, 'Thanks for the memories, but it's time to move on?''

He had watched his fair share of dramas, and most especially, those wretched reality shows.

He was having a bad feeling about this.

Outwardly, he nodded, his face completely calm. "Of course," he said, his tone flat, as though recalling something mundane like yesterday's weather.

But inside, his brain was spinning like a hamster on an energy drink. He was transported back to that day. 'Our first date... oh man, that was... wow.'

He remembered it all too well. He and Collins had gone to watch Lily and Tily's volleyball game.

The crowd had been wild, the players intense, but Hugo's eyes had stayed glued to Lily the entire time. The way she dove for the ball, the fire in her eyes—it had left him in awe.

His heart had instead monitored the other players. His heart and his little brother...

After the game, he'd taken her on his bike. That ride through the city still played like a highlight reel in his mind—the wind in their hair, her laughter, the way she'd held onto him like he was her anchor.

Since he was accelerating like a maniac...

Then there was the restaurant, the one where they ate blindfolded. It had been a disaster in the best way, with both of them laughing so hard they could barely chew.

And of course, their first kiss under the streetlights, soft and sweet, like something out of a movie.

He snapped out of the memory, blinking back to reality. He kept his expression neutral, even though his heart had started doing backflips.

He couldn't let his guard down, not now. Lily smiled softly, as if she could see the memory replaying in his mind.

"Do you remember," she asked, her voice a little stronger now, "the question you asked me that day?"

Hugo's heart skipped a beat. 'What question? I asked her a lot of things! Oh no, what if it was something stupid? What if it was something stupid like, 'Do you think penguins have knees?''

He forced himself to remain calm, even as his brain frantically sifted through memories.

Then it hit him: 'On the court, what keeps you going when you feel like giving up?'

"Yes," he said calmly, as though the answer had been obvious all along. "I remember."

Lily's smile widened, but there was something bittersweet in it. She looked down at her hands, twisting her fingers nervously.

"No guy had ever asked me something like that before," she said quietly. "Most of them… well, they only cared about one thing."

Hugo tilted his head slightly, curious but cautious. "One thing?"

She nodded, her face somehow growing redder. "Getting into my panties."

Hugo blinked, his cold facade almost cracking. 'Well… I mean, can you really blame them? he thought for half a second before mentally slapping himself. Stop it, Hugo, focus!'

"But you," Lily continued, her voice trembling slightly, "you didn't do that. You cared about me. You wanted to know what drives me, what keeps me going. That meant so much to me, Hugo. You made me feel seen."

Hugo felt a pang of guilt. 'She thinks I'm deep and thoughtful, but really, I was just trying to score points. Now I feel bad. Sort of. Okay, not really.'

"And even this past week," Lily went on, "when I've been so busy with volleyball, you never once complained. You just… you supported me. You sent me those motivational texts every day, even when I barely replied. No one's ever done that for me before. They meant more to me than you could ever know."

Hugo tried not to puff up with pride. 'Of course, no one's ever done that for you before. I'm built different. I have a system, afterall.'

Lily looked up at him, her eyes glistening slightly. "And then, during our date at the arcade…"

Hugo's heart started pounding in his chest, completely ignoring his attempts to calm it. He had no idea why he was feeling nervous, but it was there, a strange tightness in his chest that wouldn't go away.

He told himself to stay calm, but his body clearly wasn't listening. 'Why am I getting nervous? This is just Lily. She's not about to confess that she was sent by my mom… right?'

"…seeing how well we connected, how good our chemistry was…"

His chest tightened. 'Okay, this is it. She's either about to say something amazing or completely crush me. No in between.'

"…it made me realize something."

Hugo's mind raced, his nerves skyrocketing. "Realize what?" he asked, his voice coming out a bit sharper than he intended.

Lily hesitated, then took a deep breath. She stepped closer, meeting his eyes with a determined gaze. Her lips parted, and she said—
