Terra Nova Online: Rise of The Strongest Player

Chapter 722: Grim Reaper

Chapter 722: Grim Reaper

Chapter 722: Grim Reaper

Arlen was confused on why Leo suddenly stopped running once he crossed the bridge?

If he wanted to fight, he could have done so anytime? However, stopping so abruptly made no sense to him…..

‘Is he planning to cut the ropes of the bridge? Is he trying to pull some childish trick and drop me in the water?’ Arlen wondered, as watching Leo stand so close to the bridge and the supporting ropes, Arlen wondered what his intentions were?

The current below the bridge was weak at best and the bridge was mostly for convenience and not necessity.

Even if he fell, it wasn’t like coming ashore on the other side was particularly difficult, and hence Arlen felt even more confused by Leo’s movements.

Cautious as he was, he slowed down his run and notched another arrow, as he cautiously approached Leo, one step at a time.

“I’m Master Arlen…” he shouted once he was within earshot range, “I thought it was best I introduce myself before I kill you” he clarified, as Leo’s eyes darkened.

“I’m ‘TheBoss’, but you can call me Grim Reaper you weasly ass bitch, because I’ll be reaping your soul today” Leo declared, not holding back at all, as he gestured for Arlen to cross the bridge if he dared.

For a moment, Arlen hesitated, feeling unsure of what his opponent planned, however, after seeing the arrow still sticking out of his opponent’s midsection, he decided to approach nonetheless.

*Thud*

*Thud*

*Thud*

The wooden plans of the bridge creaked everytime Arlen took a step, as he pointed the arrow straight towards Leo’s head.

With every step that he took, he felt more and more assured of hitting Leo straight in the head, as based on the speed of his shot, he knew it would be impossible to defend.

Finally, when he was a quarter way into the bridge and the distance between him and Leo was merely 15 meters, he finally loosened his shot, thinking that his opponent was as good as dead.

‘Rest in hell…’ he thought, observing the arrow fly with calm confidence, as he saw it zooming towards Leo in a flash.

*Zrrrr*

In a blur, Leo moved his head at the last possible microsecond, dodging the move completely, as he retaliated by throwing the dagger in his palm which surprisingly found its mark, precisely slashing the string on his opponents bow, before whistling past his neck, drawing a single drop of blood.

“What?” Arlen muttered in shock as it all happened in a blur.

He could not even notice his opponents movement, much less react to it, as by the time his brain processed that his opponent had dodged his attack, and that too from this close of a range, he already had his bowstring cut in half.

Bewildered, he looked at the now straight bow in his hand and then towards Leo in surprise, as the grin on Leo’s face broadened.

“Aghhh… the scent of fear…. So refreshing” Leo said like a maniac, as he pulled out yet another dagger from his belt.

“How?” Arlen muttered in utter disbelief, as he had never seen a man like Leo ever before in his life.

His reflexes were beyond those of a normal human, as dodging his full power shot from a mere 15 meters range was supposed to be impossible!

However, what Arlen did not know was that his reflexes were actually Leo’s strongest suit even before he ever started to play the game Terra Nova Online.

During his initial evaluation, reflex test was the one where he got a SSS evaluation, and his senses had only been sharpened since then.

As his agility and constitution improved so did his reflexes, as his muscles became better attuned to his neural signals and could execute the commands they gave faster.

However, the breaking point came from the marrow meditation manual method.

After achieving minor success, Leo’s new cells helped increase his innate talent even more, which was why he could dodge Arlen’s attack now with such ease.

“Hohoho. What happened now? Lost all your confidence you one trick pony? Don’t have the balls to hunt me with your bow destroyed?” Leo taunted, as he took a step onto the bridge, prompting Arlen to take one back.

An Archer without a bow was like a mage without mana, and in this state Arlen knew he was no match for his opponent who was a freak and a killer.

“I don’t know why you’re hunting me, but I’ll give you one chance to fuck off. Run and never show me your face again because next time I see you, I will kill you” Leo threatened, as he gave Arlen one last chance to run.

“Run? Never…. You killed my sworn brother Denver, I will kill you or be killed here today!” Arlen declared, as Leo shrugged his shoulders and pointed towards the sky.

“Very well…. Look there, your wish is about to be granted” Leo said pointing towards the sky, as somehow because of his casually attitude and confidence, Arlen really did end up looking towards the sky, becoming momentarily distracted.

However, this was a fatal mistake.

In a split second, Leo charged the full distance of 15 meters between them, pouncing upon Arlen with a [Kill Strike].

‘Not good…’ Arlen thought, noticing Leo’s movement once he was already halfway, as he tried to block with the handle of his bow.

*Clink*

Metal clashed against metal and Arlen was pushed a couple steps back because of Leo’s momentum, however, before he could ever recover, Leo sent a kick to his face, making him keel over, before following through with a dagger plunge straight into his brain.

“That’s what it feels like to be impaled….” Leo pointed out, before impaling him a few more times at critical spots.

“Like I said…. I’m the Grim reaper” Leo said at the end, as he claimed yet another master warrior’s life on the same crazy day.
