Luo Ziling hurriedly tried to escape, but due to his panic, he bumped his bottom into a chair behind him and thudded to the ground with a painful flop.

Ouyang Feifei also turned over and sat up, glaring at the flustered Luo Ziling with a face full of embarrassment and annoyance.

“Ouyang Feifei, I must say you’re a bit much, taking advantage of me while I was checking on you,” Luo Ziling started to complain before she could erupt in fury, “You almost knocked my teeth out. Shouldn’t you apologize?”

Fed up, Ouyang Feifei leaped off the bed, assaulting Luo Ziling with a flurry of punches and kicks: “You jerk, who took advantage of whom? You’ve gone too far; you’re infuriating me!”

Ouyang Feifei could never have imagined such a bizarre incident happening to her.

If she hadn’t experienced it firsthand and instead heard it from someone else, she would never believe such an improbable situation was possible.

She realized that the primary reason for the mishap was her own excessive movement, while Luo Ziling had been desperately trying to dodge.

Still, she was incensed and felt humiliated by Luo Ziling’s actions.

Sitting on the floor, Luo Ziling did not anticipate that Ouyang Feifei would forsake her usual reserve and come at him with fists and feet flying, so he quickly extended his hand to restrain her.

“Hey, why do you always have to be unreasonable?” Luo Ziling got a bit annoyed, “I was just checking to see if you’d fallen asleep or if there was a problem with the treatment. I didn’t expect you to lash out like that; you scared me to death!”

Ouyang Feifei became even more furious.

Just as she was seething with the urge for revenge, Luo Ziling swiftly got up from the ground and bolted into the bathroom.

However, he quickly escaped from the bathroom, his face awash with embarrassment, and called out to Ouyang Feifei, “I’m going to the next room to wash my face.”

Without waiting for Ouyang Feifei to react, he vanished without a trace.

Watching Luo Ziling’s demeanor, Ouyang Feifei, amid her complex emotions, couldn’t help but want to laugh.

In the end, she locked the door again and changed her clothes.

While Ouyang Feifei was getting dressed and fixing her makeup, there came a knock on the door, followed by the timid voice of Luo Ziling, “Are you done? I’m coming in to clean up, don’t throw my treasures all over the place.”

Ouyang Feifei looked at her reflection in the mirror, no longer exhibiting any lapse in composure or decency, and went to open the door.

Seeing Ouyang Feifei as she was now, Luo Ziling couldn’t help but take a few extra glances, appearing somewhat shy.

Ouyang Feifei’s mood was still quite good; as Luo Ziling cleaned up, she had already adjusted her mindset, telling him to go ahead and wait for her downstairs—she’d be right down. Dinner must have been delivered by now, and Wang Qing should have prepared the food. She told Luo Ziling to start eating first.

After Luo Ziling went downstairs, he indeed saw a full table of delicious food, but no one else was there.

He didn’t fuss over it and just picked up his utensils and began to eat.

By the time he was nearly full, the well-dressed Ouyang Feifei descended from the upstairs.

Even though they had recently been in close contact, the well-groomed Ouyang Feifei still exuded a stunning beauty that couldn’t easily be ignored, causing Luo Ziling, who was in the middle of his meal, to take a few extra looks.

Ouyang Feifei reverted to her poised self and began eating delicately.

“So,” Luo Ziling hesitated before bringing up a subject, “for the next treatment session, how about we have Wang Qing stay close by, to avoid awkwardness? Or maybe call your sister over. Having someone else there might help with some things. What do you think?”

Ouyang Feifei didn’t answer but continued to watch Luo Ziling in silence.

Unable to discern the meaning in her eyes, Luo Ziling boldly continued, “I’m worried about being alone with you for these procedures—it could lead to trouble.”

Ouyang Feifei’s face instantly flushed red, and she glared at Luo Ziling in annoyance, yet remained silent.

After a brief pause, she softly said, “Do whatever you think is best!”

Luo Ziling didn’t know what else to say and simply continued eating.

Ouyang Feifei, usually with a small appetite, ate quite a bit that evening. Luo Ziling, being hungry, and having nearly finished his food, picked up his chopsticks again when he noticed Ouyang Feifei had stopped eating, and polished off all remaining dishes, to Ouyang Feifei’s amazement.

“Are you full?” Seeing no dishes left on the table, Ouyang Feifei quietly asked, “If you’re not, there’s some instant food in the kitchen.”

“I’m satisfied, I just didn’t want to see you waste food,” he said with a radiant smile.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

This smile made Ouyang Feifei pause, a dizzy feeling coming over her. The idea that the young man before her cherished food to such an extent struck her. Not only did he have a good appetite, but he also disliked wasting food.

Ouyang Feifei had Wang Qing come in and clean up the table, while Luo Ziling assisted just as usual, with only Ouyang Feifei remaining idle.

Seeing Luo Ziling helping Wang Qing clean up, Ouyang Feifei felt a bit embarrassed, “Let Wang Qing handle it; let’s sit down and talk!”

Luo Ziling agreed, but only after he had tidied up everything did he sit down with Ouyang Feifei for a chat.

“That medical industry cocktail party I mentioned last time, would you like to attend it with me?” Ouyang Feifei inquired once they were seated.

“When is it?”

Ouyang Feifei provided a date.

At the mention of the date, Luo Ziling suddenly remembered Li Mingxun inviting him to a conference and immediately asked Ouyang Feifei if it was the same event.

“Yes, that’s the one. How did you know about this conference?” Ouyang Feifei appeared surprised.

Luo Ziling didn’t explain but simply smiled and responded, “Alright, I agree to accompany you to the conference.”

Ouyang Feifei didn’t reply but stared at Luo Ziling unblinkingly, making him slightly uneasy.
