Chapter 712 She Couldn't Resist

Villain Ch 712. She Couldn't Resist

"Are you okay?" Allen's concern cut through the tense atmosphere, his eyes searching Azura's face for any sign of distress.

"Oh no, her brain is overheated," Emma remarked with a cringe, shooting Azura a sympathetic look.

Azura shook her head, feeling utterly overwhelmed by the unexpected turn of events. Feeling a mixture of frustration and relief, Azura leaned towards Emma, her mind still reeling from the revelation that Allen was Emma's brother. "Why didn't you tell me that he is your brother?" she complained, her voice tinged with exasperation.

Emma let out a sigh, her brow furrowing in thought. "We are still keeping this matter a secret, at least until all the documents are completed," she explained, her tone casual despite the seriousness of the situation. "There's no way I could have told you this via text. You would have been shocked and probably called me to scream at me," she added with a wry smile.

Azura couldn't help but nod in reluctant agreement, realizing the wisdom in Emma's decision to keep the truth under wraps. "Well, that's true," she conceded, her voice tinged with a hint of resignation. "But at least you could have replied to my first text," she added, her tone bordering on petulant.

"I don't want to disturb your date. Isn't that what you want? You said it to me last night," Emma reminded Azura, her tone tinged with reproach.

Emma's words hit Azura like a punch to the gut, stirring up a mixture of guilt and frustration within her. Azura winced at the memory of her own words, realizing how selfish and shortsighted she had been.

Then Emma continued to voice her disappointment, Azura felt a pang of remorse gnaw at her insides. "I've given you the opportunity to ride with him yet you squandered that opportunity," Emma lamented, her frustration evident in her huff.

Azura couldn't help but hang her head in shame, her earlier defiance now replaced by a sense of regret.

"What a waste," Emma sighed, shaking her head in disappointment.

Feeling defensive, Azura couldn't help but push back against Emma's scolding. "Don't complain to me. I already said I thought he's a stalker," she retorted, her voice tinged with defensiveness. She couldn't shake the feeling of unease that had plagued her since her encounter with Allen, and she was reluctant to let go of her suspicions despite Emma's reassurances.

"How did you know I would come here today and ask him to pick me up at the station," said Azura again, her voice still sounding like a whine.

It was Allen who answered her. "Oh, that's a complete coincidence," Allen began, his voice laced with sincerity. "I sometimes went there to take pictures of the crowd and the sky. Also, some parts of that station have an antique touch," he elaborated, his words flowing effortlessly.

Azura couldn't help but feel a twinge of surprise at Allen's response. His explanation seemed plausible enough, and she found herself nodding along as he spoke.

"You surely know a lot about this city," Azura remarked, her tone filled with genuine admiration.

Allen simply shrugged, a modest smile playing at the corners of his lips. "Just a few things," he replied casually, downplaying his own knowledge. Despite his nonchalant demeanor, Azura couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to Allen than met the eye. She found herself drawn to his easygoing charm.

"Let's continue the conversation inside. I've asked Kai to prepare us some snacks," Emma declared, leading the way into the mansion. Azura, Allen, and the butlers followed suit, trailing behind her as they entered the grand foyer.

"But we are from the café," Azura pointed out.

"Ah, yes, I forgot about that," Emma admitted, her disappointment evident.

As they made their way further into the mansion, Allen couldn't help but bring up the incident at the café. "Oh, speaking of café, did you ask her to feed me? Isn't that a bit over the line? I mean, we're cousins," he quipped. Of course, he meant the incident at the café. He guessed it was Emma's suggestion.

Emma's steps came to an abrupt halt, her eyes widening in shock as she turned to face Allen. Azura and the butlers also paused, sensing the sudden tension in the air. "She fed you?" Emma's voice was tinged with disbelief, her eyebrows shooting up in astonishment.

Allen nodded, confirming Emma's suspicions. "Yeah, she gave me her macaroon," he admitted, his tone casual but attentive, sensing the gravity of the situation. Just from Emma's reaction, he immediately concluded that it wasn't Emma's suggestion.

Emma's incredulity only seemed to deepen at Allen's response. "By hand or did she put it onto your plate?" she pressed further, her tone demanding an explanation.

"By hand," Allen replied simply, not missing the intensity in Emma's gaze.

Emma's eyes narrowed, her lips pursed in contemplation. "And you took it with your spoon?" she questioned, her tone now edged with a hint of interrogation.

Allen shook his head, a faint smile playing on his lips as he clarified, "I was eating croissants. There were only a knife and a fork available."

"So, you eat it directly with your mouth?" Emma's voice held a hint of disbelief as she turned to Allen, seeking confirmation.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

Allen nodded with a resigned smile.

Emma's gaze then shifted to Azura, who was visibly blushing and looking slightly flustered. There was a mix of curiosity and accusation in Emma's eyes as she assessed Azura's reaction. "I-I was panicked, okay?" Azura blurted out, her tone defensive as she attempted to justify her actions.

Emma raised an eyebrow, a knowing smirk tugging at the corners of her lips. "Panicked? Or maybe you just couldn't resist?" she teased, her playful tone lightening the mood.

Azura's cheeks flushed even deeper at Emma's teasing remark, but she couldn't help but let out a nervous laugh. "Okay, maybe a little bit of both," she admitted sheepishly.

"Well, I suppose I can't blame you. Allen does have that effect on people," Emma stated with a huff.
