Global Awakening: Apocalypse Ender's Chronicle

Chapter 375 Past Memories

After feeling satisfied, Shane finally decided to absorb the three Memory Spheres.

Shane sat in a quiet corner of his room and used his Perception, Heightened Awareness, and Cloud's Detection to confirm that the Ivory Gear Shelter was still safe and not being attacked by Zombies or such.

He also noticed that Lysandra seemed to have a decent haul in this Zombie Raid and was actually looking at some weapons she had recently obtained.

Seeing that she was busy, he decided not to bother her and proceeded to absorb the Memory Spheres.

The first Memory Sphere in his hands glowed with a faint, ethereal light. He then took out the two other ones according to the system's arrangement.

These were his thirteenth to fifteenth Memory Spheres, and he felt excited to finally absorb them. After all, the fifteenth Memory Sphere seemed incomplete, and he couldn't wait to find out what had happened next to his previously established Clan.

Taking a deep breath, Shane focused on the first Memory Sphere and absorbed it.

Instantly, his mind was flooded with memories from his time in the Fairy Realm, specifically during the fourth year of the event.

In this memory, Shane found himself standing amidst the ruins of his Clan's stronghold.

The once-mighty fortress was now a desolate wasteland… It wasn't just that, the air was still thick with the stench of death and decay.

It was a horrible sight.

His Clan had been wiped out by a powerful Vampire, and as Shane sifted through the memories, he realized with a jolt that this Vampire was called Statham. There was no doubt about it. It was the same adversary he had recently encountered.

Shane couldn't help but guess that Statham actually defeated more Apocalypse before going to the Fairy Realm Invasion… Perhaps Statham was able to kill everyone in this Zombie Apocalypse World and other worlds and targeted the Fairy Realm Invasion in his fourth year.

'That guy must really get killed…' Shane thought as he believed that if he didn't select this Zombie Outbreak, Assad, the Rank 2 Survivor, must've been targeted instead by the Vampire and was most likely killed during this time.

Shane could only imagine what had happened after Statham became unstoppable.

Anyway, as he absorbed the memories, he learned that Statham's power was overwhelming, and he had been systematically wiping out several clans, leaving a trail of destruction everywhere he went.

Shane's heart sank as he understood what had truly happened before.

Statham had likely defeated all other Survivors in this Apocalypse, leaving Shane as the sole survivor.

'Is that the reason I got the blessing from the Fairy Queen and had a bad ending?' Shane mused. Slowly, the secrets of the previous Apocalypses he entered was unfolding in front of him.

As the memories entered his mind, he soon recalled how determined he was to survive and avenge his fallen comrades.

He traveled alone through the treacherous lands of the Fairy Realm. One day, while traversing a dense forest, he noticed a commotion in the distance.

As he approached, he saw ten Lesser Vampires attacking an Elven Village. This time, Statham's force had already become so strong, and he had numerous blood slaves.

The Elves, though skilled warriors, were struggling against the then ten Lesser Vampires who could regenerate as long as their enemies were bleeding.

Shane, despite being an enemy of the Elves, couldn't stand by and watch them be slaughtered.

'The enemy of my enemy is my friend…' Shane thought of this for a bit.

He pulled his cloak tightly around him, hiding his human features, and approached the village.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

Speaking in the Elven Language, he called out to the defenders, "I am here to help. Let's kill these monsters."

The Elves, though wary, accepted his aid… After all, none of them expected that he could learn the Elven Language. To be exact, Cloud was also here with him in the Fairy Realm Apocalypse, and he assisted him with the foreign language.

Shane's powerful presence bolstered their morale, and they fought against the Lesser Vampires steadily.

Using his knowledge of Vampire weaknesses, Shane coordinated their attacks, targeting the Lesser Vampires' vulnerabilities. He was actually a magic swordsman in this realm, and he was able to fight against the Vampires while also having a complete grasp of the surroundings, so he could instruct the Elves who weren't used to the battle style of the Vampires.

They were even a bit stupid that they had no idea that the Vampires would recover by taking their blood!

Nonetheless, even if the battle was fierce, with Shane's guidance, the Elves managed to turn the tide. One by one, the Lesser Vampires fell, their bodies disintegrating into ash.

The Elven Village was saved, but before they could celebrate and thank Shane, something unexpected happened.

A chilling presence descended upon them, and Shane frowned as he saw a Blood Knight approaching. The Blood Knight, a powerful Vampire warrior, had come to avenge the fallen Lesser Vampires.

His crimson armor gleamed in the moonlight, and his eyes burned with fury. According to Cloud's report, this Vampire was a first generation Blood Knight, or in short, he was directly converted by Statham himself!

The Elves, exhausted from the previous battle, looked to Shane for guidance. He knew they stood little chance against the Blood Knight, but he couldn't abandon them now.

"Stay behind me," Shane instructed, his voice steady despite the fear gnawing at him. He could only trust Cloud with his Battle Assistance Module and the various skills he had obtained as a Magic Swordsman.

"We will fight together."

The Blood Knight charged and didn't bother talking to them at all.

Clank! Clank!

Shane met him head-on, their blades clashed with a resounding clang and it was the signal for the elves to also act…

However, the force of the impact sent shockwaves through the ground and interrupted the elves to get a better position… Nonetheless, Shane held his ground.

Using his Magic Swordsman Talent, Shane used his magical swords to their limit!

At this time, his cloak was no longer able to hide his Aura. Indeed, this action blew his cover as an Elf!
