Isekai Journey Of The Magic Archer

Chapter 1036 The carriage, the Nobles, and the Bulls

[OP: ]

The Heliox family was going on a vacation to their hometown, in the north of the empire. And, the entire capital of Roxanna knew about it already.

Large carriages with the insignia of the Heliox, the royal blue Griffin, were present on all these lavish carriages as they passed through the commercial district.

There were six carriages, and at the very front of these carriages, there was a pair of giant bulls, creatures that attracted attention from all the people.

Be it a rich family or merchant, a family of nobles living in the capital, young masters and misses from other big families, or the imperial knights themselves, the kind of attractions this small group was attracting was much greater than what a royal parade.

Common people in the streets, be it children or the elders, when looking at these carriages which were several times bigger than the carriages that they usually see in the city, the escort knights on horses many times bigger than the usual horses that they see, could not help the feeling of awe…

The Heliox.

It was a famous name in this capital where the imperial family possessed the highest authority, in this place that had all the important families and the estates of those families.

The level of life in this city itself was far greater than the kind of life any kind of person could live in some other part of the empire.

The blessed city. Gwyneth was a place where the most poor received a meal each day, where darkness existed only where it was needed. People were happy here.

Having the advantage of living right under the gaze of their ruler, the citizens of the capital were happy.

There were more than enough resources, with the adventurers and the association present, the quality of life was comparatively much better.

The nobles of the city, though divided into various factions, had to take care of the common people because of the existing policies of the empire.

If it was found out that they were not looking after their estates, their land, or their properties as they should, if it was found out that they were not acting as a Noble should, the severe consequences that they had to face were almost immediate.

The emperor, though young, had employed people that knew what they were supposed to do in their positions.

The people that he had selected for every single important position throughout the capital and even in other parts of the empire, actually did their jobs.

They were trained individuals that weren't like the nobles that saw only their own goods and benefits.

Thanks to these people, the quality of life was constantly improving, and little by little, the people around the empire were becoming more and more productive, ultimately improving the status of the empire.

"Mana! Look! The windows are opening!"

For the common people of the empire, not all the nobles were the same. They did not consider themselves far below those high ranking people.

In this society, they were simply of a lower status and had a different role compared to them.

The nobles did not grow crops or did woodwork. They did not make clothes that they were wearing.

They looked after the people and worked with their heads, their brains and their intellect. Some of them were mages and helped them in various ways, some created things that would ultimately help common people like them in their daily lives, and some were strong and helped those of the high class with things that neither they nor the common people could do.

Be it hunting down monsters or protecting the walls that guard them, not all had the strength to do that a few could do. Thus, there were all kinds of people in this society with different roles.

"Oh! Oh! Is that…! Is that Master Axion!"

"Oh my… look at him…"

"His eyes… wow."

"Oh! Oh! Look! Lady Reinelle! The representative of Atraxia is with them!"

"Of course she's with them! They're engaged~!"

"They look so good together… this is not fair…"

"The world was never meant to be a fair place, my friend."

The world society had different roles. Everyone had something they were supposed to do and nobles had comparatively more work to do than the common people.

All this grand show, the money and the family names, the titles and the status that they had within the society was not something they received from someone else.

"They're so cool…"

"I've heard Lord Axion is a magic archer? How cool is that!"

"Even Lady Reinelle. I recently heard she has made a great contribution to the Relief program going on for a western city that was attacked by some heathens. She's so kind…"

Be it the house of Heliox, the house of Atraxia, or the other famous households of the empire. They all had earned their status through their contributions to society.

Heliox regularly helped the people of the country through their vast wealth. They were also one of the few good ones that took money from the actual rich and gave it back to the people that needed it.

Each year, Countess Nolan raised hundreds or sometimes thousands of platinum coins during her annual winter auctions.

Last year, it was much greater, and she donated more than usual to the various foundations working for the people throughout the capital and the other places in the empire.

The house of Heliox operated various businesses, many related to transportation and trade, and the prices that they had for the common people were so affordable that the common people never had to think twice before using their services.

The house of Heliox, and the young master of the house, Lord

Axion was also the person that had made Burgers and smoothies possible.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

Throughout the world, there were many people that did not even know how they would live without those things in this era.

The revolutionary things that this one family had made, their contribution to the society as a whole, and even their individual contributions had been nothing but an admirable blessing to the common people.

Carla and Alf were praised as prodigies that will lead the magical and chivalrous worlds of tomorrow.

Axion had already made things that were helping common people as well as many specialists of various fields with various things. He had translated an ancient epic which was a sensation till this day. Not many knew it but he was also the one that decoded the various medical techniques of that civilization that were soon going to put into practice.

Additionally, the contributions of fathers of these children in magical, educational, and the realms of law were impossible to ignore.

Nolan was a sensation throughout the world already, but even Augustine and Hazel were famous in their own fields.

Their grandparents, of course, were the cornerstones that had made them and what they had done possible.

"Miss Anastasia must be in the foremost carriage, right?"

"Do you think she will grace us with her sight as well?"

It wasn't uncommon for Eon and Rein to open the windows when travelling like they were doing right now.

But, Anna has not appeared before the public until now in common settings like these.

The nobles had seen her on various occasions, and the only time common people got to see her was during the annual winter auction of Hiraani.

Aside from that, she had not yet appeared before the public for various reasons.

"Oh, wait. Look."

But, perhaps, that was going to change starting today.

"Why do they look concerned?"

"Oh, look. Miss Carla and young master Alfred have also opened the windows."

"Even the others…?"

"What's happening?"

"Hey! Hey! Look in the front!"

"That…! That's her!"

"The Ruler of Heliox!"

Anna wanted to ride the bulls with Taika so she asked her grandma and grandpa who were with her in the front carriage.

Eon and the rest of them were behind them, so they didn't know when they allowed her to go out, but they did. And he was surprised, just like the rest of their family members.

So, they were all stunned and looked out of the windows, with Carla and Eon even jumping out of the carriage to see if she was alright… but as mentioned earlier, there was nothing to worry about.

"Today is a lucky day! We got to see the Ruler of Heliox and the Lord Axion!"

"We got to see all of them! Look!"

"Hahaha! I should have brought my wife~. I know she won't believe me when I tell her about this~."

Taika had full control over the bullions. She had dominated the creatures and even if there was a commotion going on, without her permission, they weren't going to even drink a gulp of water.

Anna was safe with her. In fact, since she had not experienced riding horses in the city, much less riding on creatures that were almost covering half of the road by themselves, this was a good opportunity.

The grandparents did not expect she would request this since she knew why they didn't let her do that. But since she was the one asking them, they couldn't refuse her request.

Only Zoe would have refused her when she was looking at her with those eyes. But, she wasn't here. Which meant there was no helping it…

"That girl…"

"It's good, you know? She asked for something. That's a big thing."

After confirming everything was alright over there, Eon went back inside the carriage.

He signed with a smile first, but after hearing Rein's words, a strange bitterness clouded his eyes.

"She's growing up, Rein…"

She wouldn't have asked them for something so selfish before. But, she did it this time, which indicated a lot more than what a common bystander might ever understand.

For them, this was a big thing.

Especially for Eon… this one selfish request of hers was an indication of the absolute reality of the passage of time. Stay updated via empire

"She's getting older."

He did not have much time either. It won't be long before Anna learns of her powers, and it won't be long before she enters the academy either.

For them at least, time was going to pass quickly, and when the time for her arrival at the academy comes…

He will have to be prepared, with everything.
