She Belongs To The Devil

Chapter 660 Meeting of the Cousins

Tobias closed his eyes and thought back to what he had seen just a while ago.

"Ariel was not controlling the water to create a gap. But she was controlling the air to push the water away. Just how many elements can she control?"

He opened his eyes and glared at Endeavor with hateful eyes.

His blood boiled upon thinking back to the times the faeries had brought back reports saying that Ariel just knew how to control water and earth elements. They had reported to his father saying that since the incident in Mihir, she had given up on using magic.

"Given up on magic, huh." He chuckled angrily and thought, "Those faeries dared to bring back false reports? Just wait and watch what I will do to them."

He hardened his glare on the ship and thought, "But before doing anything to them, let's do something to her."

Tobias controlled the water around him to transport himself close to Endeavor.

He wanted to have a one-on-one fight with Ariel. He wanted to see how much power Ariel held since his grandfather was paranoid enough to keep her protected within the barrier.

Tobias stood on the surface of the ocean. He wanted to fly and get inside the ship. But before doing that, he held out his hand and tried to touch the ship.

He was suddenly thrown several meters behind in the water the moment his fingertips touched some invisible force.

He sprang out of the water and cackled. "Of course, why wouldn't there be a barrier? There is always a barrier."

He then smirked as an evil idea crossed his mind.

"This is the ocean. This is my domain. It doesn't matter if I cannot touch the ship. I can manipulate the ocean as much as I want."

Tobias cackled again. His laughter was, however, drowned by the noise of the ship's engine as well as the sound of waves splashing.

He stood on the surface of the water while facing the large ship. He then held out his hands and began to perform a set of complicated hand gestures.

The water beneath the ship slowly started to swirl around. It started as a small whirlpool at first. But with every passing second, the whirlpool was getting bigger and bigger.

However, before Tobias could do any significant damage to the ship, something unexpected happened.

The Goddess appeared in front of him and held him by his ear.

"Ow! Ow! Grandmother, what… why are you here?" Tobias asked breathlessly.

The Goddess narrowed her eyes at him and asked, "I could ask the same question to you, Tobias. Why are you here? And why are you stirring trouble, and quite literally at that?"

"Um… I was just practicing my magic. Nothing more." Tobias lied through his teeth.

However, the Goddess didn't need to hear from his mouth what he was really trying to do. So she twisted Tobias' ear even harder and asked in a sharp voice, "Don't lie to your grandmother, Tobias."n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

Tobias frowned and answered with an attitude, "I wanted to challenge Ariel to a duel. I know she is inside this ship. But it looks like the favorite grandchild is being guarded by her grandparents. So I thought that I would smoke her out."

The Goddess sighed and left her hold on Tobias' ear. She looked into his eyes and then asked, "Why don't you first meet her and talk with her before challenging her out of nowhere? She doesn't even know you yet."

Tobias furrowed his brows and thought for a while. He was trying to figure out if his grandmother was being sarcastic or if she really meant what she said.

The Goddess tilted her head and asked him again, "What do you say? Shall I introduce you to her? Then you can invite her for a duel."

Tobias looked at his grandmother. It didn't look like she was being sarcastic. And unlike his grandfather, he knew that his grandmother wouldn't have any hidden meaning or any hidden interest behind things that she would do.

He also didn't want to miss this opportunity to meet his rival. So he agreed with his grandmother. "Yes, I would love to meet her."

"Great! Then let's go and greet them," the Goddess rested her palm on Tobias' shoulder.

And in the next moment, both of them vanished from the surface of the ocean.

They reappeared inside the living room of the ship, where everyone was currently at.

Zach and Ramon got startled by the sudden appearance of the Goddess and Tobias. Damien immediately slammed his palm on his chest and cast the spell to hide his aura. While Ariel, Kenneth, and Niylah abruptly got up on their feet, ready to fight if it was some intruder.

But when they saw the Goddess smiling at them, Ariel and Niylah eased up and bowed their heads. And so did Zach and Ramon.

Kenneth hadn't had the chance to meet the Goddess yet. So he was a little confused.

Ariel glanced at him and introduced him to the Goddess, "Kenneth, she is my granny."

Kenneth hurriedly turned to face the Goddess and respectfully bowed her. He had a wide smile on his face when he greeted her, "I have heard great things about you, heavenly mother. It is my greatest honor to be in your presence."

"I'm also glad to finally meet you, child." the Goddess smiled and lightly patted on Kenneth's head.

She also glanced at the corner where Damien was standing very still and stiff. She smiled because she was well aware that Damien was there.

All this while, everyone else had been staring at Tobias. And Tobias was awkwardly looking around the room while trying to avoid their piercing gazes.

Ariel could see the immense aura surrounding him. However, she didn't know who it was or why her grandmother had brought him here.

So she asked her grandmother, "Granny, who is he?"

The Goddess glanced at Tobias and then introduced him, "This is your cousin, Tobias. Son of Michael."

Tobias gave a light nod to Ariel.

"He is my cousin!" Ariel raised her brows in amusement.

"Why am I just seeing him now? Why didn't you bring him to meet me sooner, granny?" She knew that she had a cousin in the Heaven realm. And she was happy to see him for the first time.

She ran towards him. And since her grandmother had brought him along, she didn't think about the possibility that he might actually want her dead.

So she hugged him and said, "It's so nice to meet you, Tobias."

Tobias turned stiff at that sudden physical attack from his rival. And he awkwardly mumbled, "This is an interesting way to greet me considering the fact that you haven't met me before."

Ariel pulled away from the hug and giggled. "I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable. But I couldn't contain my excitement."

She then gave a wide smile to him and asked him, "Why don't you take a seat? We can get to know each other. We have a lot to catch up on, don't you think?"

Tobias scoffed and lightly shook his head. He couldn't believe that she could be this clueless and this trusting of a complete stranger.

"I think I understand why there was a barrier," he thought to himself.

He then smiled at Ariel and shrugged, "Sure, why not?"
