The Earth After Rebirth

Chapter 399 Training in Another World

He pondered the question, 'do they perhaps need the soil to be bloodied before they can do whatever it is that they do?'

Kiro was almost sure of it, why else did the ancient one have to come and grace these worlds with its presence when the harbingers in this case were quite enough to take over.

It was a working theory but it's all he had. Maybe if he transported the people to Asgard or even Hubris' world, maybe that would help. He quickly rejected that idea, transporting this many people would kill him.

"I'm from a different world, an earth that has seen the ancient ones and survived them but barely. They are not your friends no matter what they have promised you. My entire world was reduced into a single country."

He made his speech and the upper echelons of Arthens seemed to be considering his words. There were murmurs but only amongst themselves.

Every one of them except for the King, who didn't show fear nor any indication that he was listening to Kiro. He looked at him with a mocking sadistic smile.

He ignored it, "I can tell they've been pretending to teach you how to harness Kaos but that's all they'll do until you find yourself without a home. I can teach you, show you the ropes. It won't take a single day. I'll teach everyone of your citizens."

The King's face fell. The proud mocking look was replaced by unimaginable fear. Kiro studied his reaction, he concluded that he knew about the fact that harbingers wouldn't have taught them how to harness Kaos.

"You knew?" He couldn't keep the accusatory tone in his voice.

"Of course I knew," he answered with an annoyed tone in his voice. "How else would I rule if everyone was as powerful as me?"

Hubris could feel the anger creeping up from his master's stomach. He was filled in on the happenings of the past to make him understand how dire the situation was, so he knew exactly how hard this was hitting Kiro.

"Master, please, calm yourself."

The men around whom trusted him didn't show their surprise. They hid it well, this was their king after all, if he said die they were obligated to.

Kiro on the other hand was breathing in and out to get the thoughts of killing the man, no matter the kind of man he was, he was still a trusted revered king of his people.

"That's right, listen to your do—"

The king didn't get to finish that sentence and he collapsed. His subjects ran to his side, yelling for the doctors to come inside the tent.

"I‐I don't know, there's no wound anywhere in his body, but there's blood coming out of his mouth. I'm afraid the King is dead." The doctor had never seen anything like it.

Kiro had a half smirk on his face. He didn't think it would even work, to kill a person without moving or touching them. But he successfully imploded the King's heart, it was surprisingly easy to do.

'I should be careful, I don't know my own strength.'

"You, what did you do, he was fine before you came here." The muscled man held him by the clothes and Kiro let him, to be convincing that it wasn't him.

"How would I even kill someone while I'm standing all the way over here? It's clearly the Kaos energy the harbingers imparted on you all. And I reckon you'll be next."

Just like that, the man fell to the ground too.

"You could've lead with this!"n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

"I could've, but disrespect my mount again and I'll leave you people to fend for yourselves."

"We apologise. The Prince will not like this at all. But please, teach us your ways."

'The Prince? Another person to kill then, I doubt the father was dumb enough to not have a proxy.' Stay updated through empire

Kiro commanded for them to address the people about what transpired in their meeting. He didn't let them leave out a single detail, the betrayal from the King was also revealed.

Something that almost caused a riot. But because of the imminent dangers and the fact that there was someone there to guide them through it made that the least of their worries.

"Hubris, couldn't you use your gravity power to create pockets of tunnels from here to Asgard? I think we should create a bridge, I cannot carry them all by myself."

The plan to recruit from other worlds was brilliant but now they were faced with the problem of bringing them over to Asgard. For some reason he regretted that he never thought to ask Chronos, their world was the most sought after.

After reducing it to a single country, the ancient ones were still working tirelessly to get it. Kiro didn't know whether there was more to it or this was just a god with a bad case of OCD.

"I don't know if I can master."

"Come on Hubris. You just have to bend spacetime and punch a hole to create the shortcut."

Hubris gave him an 'easier said than done' look. Kiro gave him a toothy grin. His entire demeanor told his mount to trust him.

"You already have gravity powers, you only need to create two black holes, one has to die which will turn it into a white hole. Connect the two, this will create a bridge between two worlds."

Hubris wasn't by all means slow but this took him a minute to digest. "Master, this...this is..."

"It'll take a toll on you, you can borrow from me if you'd like. Now I'm to meet the Prince. Find out what he knows."

"Please don't kill him."

"Well, that'll depend on him."

That's when it hit Hubris that time had changed him while his master was still the same cruel but kind man. He was a little glad that one of them gets to be who they want to be.

"I'll be off then."
